"Relax (y/n) it's just Midoriya." I thought to myself as I finished doing my hair. I gave myself a quick once over in the mirror, shorts, T-shirt, my hair pulled into a style I felt suited a carnival date. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding as the sound of unsure knocking flooded my ears. I added one last sprits of perfume before dashing from my room. In attempts at getting to the front door first. Despite my urgency, I failed miserably. My mom pulled the door open exposing the very nervous looking green headed boy I was waiting for. Before my mom could begin her interrogation of my poor date, I jumped into the doorway!
"This is Midoriya, got to go Mom we don't wanna be late!" I called hooking arms with the nervous boy and tugging him away from the porch.
"Be home by 10! No later (y/n)!" My mother called after us as we took off into the cool night.

"Sorry about that, she never would have let us leave if I didn't," I commented after we were far enough. I looked over to my company who felt a lot more tense than I'd realized. A dark flush held tightly to his freckled cheeks, and the fact that I held tightly to him became very apparent. I released him, heat flooding my own cheeks.
"I-I understand my mom can be a bit overbearing to." He smiled gently back at me and I relaxed again.
Light spilled into the night and the sounds of people laughing and talking filled my ears. Music added to the up beat mood.
"Well.... umm... What do you want to do first?" Midoriya questioned pulling my attention to him. His nervous features gazed back at me in anticipation.
"Games?" I questioned giving him a small smile. He returned the gesture and we walked in unison talking excitedly back and forth about class, the other students, and just life in general.
"What about this?" I asked gesturing to the toss a ball at pins and knock them down game.
"Yeah why not this game! Why don't you win that cute date of yours a prize?" The man working the booth called out to us. Heat flooded my cheeks and my date mimicked me.
"Yeah, s-sure thing." Midoriya added standing at the booth. The man behind the counter grinned and slid three baseballs in his direction.
"You can do it!" I cheered as the once nervous boy tossed a baseball. My voice must have made him loose focus because the ball fell quite a bit away from its intended location.
The cheerful man chuckled nudging the remain balls towards him.
Midoriya's eyes focused behind his messy green locks and a new sensation filled the air. He picked up a ball and swiftly threw it at the pins before him. Much to my surprise it blew through the pins sending them clattering to the floor and then out the back of the booth.
"Well take that one." His voice came out a lot more confident than I had ever heard him , though his cheeks held their deep red.
The man pulled down a large green teddy bear and passed it over the counter, still looking back at the whole in the booths wall. I grabbed my dates arm and pulled him slowly away from the stand.
"Maybe no more games." I giggled still holding my hands loosely around his arm. He gave me a sheepish smile as I pulled him deeper into the candy coated madness of the carnival. "Maybe rides?" I added squeezing his arm lightly.
"Yeah sure, rides sound great, what about the Ferris wheel?" He added pointing towards the giant wheel. I nodded eagerly and we made our way through the crowd.
We stood in line behind several couples and a few groups of giggling girls. After a few minutes of waiting we made our way into the seats before us. Midoriya slide in and I followed. The attendant pulled a "seat belt" over us and push a button to allow more people on. Sending us up into the air. We jolted to a stop as more carnival goers piled on. I pulled my hand to the seat reflexively, but my hand landed against something I wasn't expecting. My fingers traced over the few scars across his hand, I pulled my eyes up to his and his cheeks deepened the color of red.
"You know I'm really glad you asked me to come." I said after a moment intertwining our fingers. I could feel his hand hesitate slightly but he held on. Our cart swung gently as the machine was put back into motion sending us closer to the top of the wheel.
"I'm really glad you said yes." His voices squeaked back. My heart beat rapidly and I wasn't sure if I should say anything else or if what was happening was okay. Before I could make up my mind we halted again. Swinging lightly, our view spilled out around us. The people below seemed so far away and the sounds from below seemed more like an after thought, the sky had grown much darker than I had realized, and the world around the grounds seemed quiet.
"You know I-" Midoriya began before being interrupted by the awful sound of gears grinding against themselves. We rocked back and forth slightly rougher and we peaked over the sides of our seats. The attendant seemed to be fighting with the control box and I pulled myself back away from the side.
"Are we stuck?" The words fell from my lips and my companion leaned back against me.
"I think so." He responded and I swallowed hard a nervousness creeping over my skin. "Hey but don't worry I mean everything's going to be just fine, I'm sure they'll fix it super soon." He added trying to reassure me squeezing my hand lightly. A smile tugged at my lips. Minutes passed and a voice from below finally pulled our attention back to the ground.
"It'll be just a bit longer, everyone hang tight." The voice called up at us and I rolled my eyes at the poorly timed joke.
"Ah I am so sorry this is turning into a mess-" the freckle faced boy next to me began and I gave him a concerned look.
"Why are you apologizing??" I interrupted nudging him playfully. "This isn't that bad." I added.
"No you're being way to sweet like always, first I throw a ball literally through a game booth and now I've gotten us stuck in this mess and -" mutters began pouring out of him about how awful the date was going and how he'd planned it going so much better and how it was all his fault.
"Midoriya." I stated trying to regain control of the situation, but the mutters continued. "Midoriya." I said again, still nothing but the seemingly endless supply of mutters. "Izuku!" I finally yelled pulling his lips to mine. Silence filled the space around us. His lips were hesitant at first and then slowly moved gently with mine. I pulled away and we locked eyes. Heat flooded my cheeks and I was happy I wasn't the only one. "I'm having a great time and If I have to be stuck up here I'm happy it's with you." I breathed and leaned back into my seat. "Besides Midoriya, I really like you and I thought the date was going great."
"You d-do?" He questioned leaning back, our shoulders pressed firmly together. A small laugh escaped my lips and I smiled over to him.
"Duh wasn't that obvious? Or do I need to kiss you again?" I teased and he turned to face me.
"I think I might need a reminder." He said softly and I felt the heat in my cheeks engulf my face. He pulled my chin back to his, much more confidently this time. I tangled my fingers loosely through his messy locks. The sound of the ride purring back to life echoed into the night and we were slowly pulled back to earth.
