"Oh, El. I really do think you're making too big of a deal. Maureen is 27 for goodness sakes. She can make her own decisions." Kathy argued, picking up their four year old and placing him on her hip.

"She wants to move across the country, Kath. I don't really like the idea of our little girl moving to California and being thousands of miles away. What if a problem happens? How are we going to help her?" He fired back, following her into their youngest child's room.

"Oh, please. You just want her here so you can control her life and the boys she sees." Kathy lightly chuckled, changing Eli into his pajamas.

"That's not true."

Kathy eyed Elliot, studying him. She turned to Eli, a smile breaking out on her face. "Tell Daddy he's being crazy."

Eli grinned, looking at his loving father. "Daddy, you're being crazy." He repeated before erupting into a fit of giggles.

Elliot couldn't help but smile at the sight. He scooped down, picking up Eli and tickling his sides. "I'm crazy? You sound crazy!" He teased as Eli laughed and kicked in excitement.

"Daddy! Put me down!" Eli exclaimed, tears running down his face.

"What's the magic word?" Elliot asked, a smile wide on his face, his blue eyes sparkling in joy.

"Please! Please!" Eli begged, laughs slipping from his little lips.

"Oh, alright. I suppose you've endured enough torture for now." He chuckled, placing the child in his bed. Kathy grinned, reaching over and tucking the covers up to his chin.

"Let's say our night prayers." She smiled, resting her folded hands on the bed. Eli pulled his arms out, following suit. Elliot bowed his head and folded his hands, too.

Just as they began, Elliot's phone rang. Kathy nodded at him, telling him it was okay to leave. He gave a soft smile and walked over to Eli. He ran his hand through his soft, blonde hair and planted a kiss on his forehead. "Goodnight, Eli. I love you."

"Goodnight, Daddy. I love you, too." He replied, grinning at the man he was named after, his role model. Elliot lightly chuckled and walked over to Kathy.

"I'm not sure when I'll get back," he began. She nodded, puckering her lips and feeling his soft ones press against them. "Goodnight. I love you."

"I love you, too, El," she nodded. "Stay safe." She added as he walked towards the door.

He turned around, giving her his soft smirk. "I will."

"Alright, what do we got?" Olivia asked, pulling back her dark hair and tying it up into a tight bun. She was thankful that this wasn't a late night call. Those are usually the worst since everyone is exhausted and cranky.
