Alana's Point Of View

I take a deep breath and press a play.

"A rumor based on a kiss went around all over Liberty. In fact, it ruined just about everything as you'll soon see. And stick around, Justin. I'm not through with you yet. I know you probably didn't meant to let me down and upset me. In fact, most of you listening probably literally had no idea what you're truly doing, but you'll find out soon. Turn the tape over for more. You'd see it."

I stopped.

How come I didn't know any of this? Surely, I know about her with Justin.

I mean who don't?

But what I do not know is that, people we're talking shit about her.

I pressed the stop button and hid it under my bed.

Mom can't know about this, not for now.

"Alana!" Mom shouted.

"What?"

"Come here!"

I do what she says and leaving my bed too go to the living room.

Our home was quiet. Since Dad left me and Mom because of Hannah's dead, I heard that his been living with another woman. Valerie and her daughter.

Arrogant much?

"Yes, Mom?"

Mom swallowed her lump deeply and she mentioned me to take a seat next to her. I nod.

"I want to talk." She smiled weakly.

"Of course." I replied.

No huffed, sarcastic comment, yelling, or judging.

"I've been a bad Mom to you." She started and I could feel her voice was getting weaker and I can hear her hearts tearing apart as she said those words.

"Lana, I'm sorry I really am. I can't see you're face everyday and all I did was avoiding you. I feel like, I'm such a stranger for you. Things has been very tough and I should have been there for you Instead being stupid and Ignored you. I'm sorry, sweetie. I just couldn't live and accept the thoughts that we lose our Hannah. I don't want to lose my daughter, not again. Lana dear, I'm sorry I'm a terrible Mom and I promised you this would never-" I cutts her off attaching her with a tight hugs.

I was crying my hearts out and I cried to her shoulder.

"Mom I'm sorry!" I sobbed.

The feeling of me, hearing all those words by my own Mom feels so relieved yet It mades me stronger.

"I'm no good to you, or Hannah. I'm so screwed I'm sorry." I sniffed and pulled away from her.

She wiped a tears from my eyes and she caressed my cheek.

"You're a greatness daughter any Mom would ask for." She says and planting a kiss on my forehead.

"There ya go, go Lana Baker!" Hannah cheered.

I laughed at her.

"What Hannah?"

"Keep pushing, okay? You are stronger than you think. And when all of this over, I promise you're going to be happy than ever. But please help me."

"Always." I promised.
