Halias opened his eyes. His vision was still blur. He focused on his vision and saw that he was lying on his back. He felt someone at his left side and looked. Lalaith was sleeping beside him. She was fast asleep. He sat up, careful not to wake her up. He sighed and looked at the window. Someone was standing there.

"You are awake." It was Shisen. He turned around and walked towards the bed. The moonlight was illuminating the room.

"When did she sleep?" Halias whispered.

"About two hours ago. She got so weak after healing you that it was hard for her to walk. So, she slept here." Shisen replied a bit cheerfully. Halias eyed him and smiled. He looked at Lalaith and put a hand on her forehead.

"She still cares."

"That she do. And I want to ask you about something. How are you so close to her?" Shisen asked, sounding a little bit confused.

"Not here. She will wake up." Halias said and got out of bed. He changed his cloths. He dressed himself into black shirt and black paints. He wore black knee-length boots and Knee-length black coat, which was opened from above his hips till the end. He tied the belt of his sword around his hips. "Follow me." He said and walked out of the room. Shisen silently followed him.

They walked into the large grounds of the castle till they reached the fountain in the center of the front ground. Both of them sat on its stairs and looked at the sky.

"I am more deeply connected with your mother than anyone else thinks." Halias silently said and looked at his right, where there were few soldiers guarding.

"I don't understand." Shisen asked, confused. Halias looked at him with pain in his eyes.

"I am heart of Eressia. She was too young when I was chosen to become her heart. I am her heart. I can feel what she feels. I can't move back now. I can even use her powers. Her burden was divided. I share every single feelings, emotions and powers she have. I am her but she is not me." Halias said, pain visible in his voice. Shisen stared at him, thunderstruck.

"Is it why you waited for her in Blue City?" Halias and Shisen looked behind and saw Lily walking towards them. Halias looked away from her and remained silent. "I think I am right."

"That you are." Halias said looking down at his hands. "And I can't go back now. The elves perform a ritual that I am unfamiliar with. They connected me with her. I was hopeless." He closed his eyes and tears rolled down his eyes.

"Do mother know?" Shisen asked with trembling voice.

"No." Halias answered and shook his head. Lily sat beside him and put a hand on his shoulder.

"You must have met my mother, too." Lily said with a painful look on her face. Halias opened his eyes and wiped the tears with the sleeve of his coat. Then he looked at her and smiled at her sadly.

"She was the only person with pure heart. She truly cared about her family and her people. Her heart was more pure than Lalaith. I served her and that was the best part of my life. Wizards care only for themselves but she was different like Lalaith was different from other elves." His voice was trembling. He looked up at the sky and cried. Lily looked at him and tears welled up in her eyes. She looked at Shisen who was siting like a statue.

"What will happen if she came to know?" Shisen asked, lost in his thoughts.

"Make sure she don't find out. Promise me both of you that you will not tell this to anyone." Halias said and stopped crying. Lily stared at Shisen for a while and then both of them nodded together.
