"Assalamu alaikum" he said rushing into the room without waiting for answer. He knelt beside a beautiful elderly lady laying on the bed with her eyes closed.

"Ammi, what happened I just got a call from lami" he said to her, touching his hand to her forehead with worry itche on his handsome  face.

"Fahad, I am okey. It's nothing serious,I was in the kitchen when I suddenly started feeling dizzy so I came in and lay down" she said trying to ease his worry.

"Ammi, what were you doing in the kitchen? I told you to leave that to lami" he said almost in tears. His mother smiled at him soothing him with her touch, the love her son has for her is unmeasurable. He doesn't allow anything to touch her and whenever she's sick he nurse her day and night, staying awake all night beside her bed incase she will need something.

"Relax Fahad I just wanted to make milk pap and you know how much I prefer making it by myself, lami wanted to do it but I didn't allow her"

"Ammi ,you could have called me I will gladly make it  for you, nothing is important more than you. Let me call doctor Affan we will go and see him now " he said pulling out his phone to dial.

"No Fahad,  I am feeling better already there's no need for that. This is why I told lami not to inform you because you will worry too much but she still did" she said trying to seat her self up, Fahad quickly stood up to assist her into the sitting position.

"But Ammi you almost fainted a while ago , the wise thing to do is to go and see Dr.Affan "

"No! Just allow me to rest and I would be feeling as good as new in no time" she said smiling lovingly to her son .

"Okey, Ammi rest some more but if anything comes up please inform me. I will allow you to rest now," he said planting a kiss to her forehead and tucking her comfortably into the bed. He left the room and headed towards the kitchen, he prepared the milk pap in record time and carried it back into his mother's room with a cup in hand. He kept it beside her bed careful not to wake her up, he silently left the room. He also made the call to Dr.Affan

Fahad hamman Ardo a young man who lost his father at an early age, his mother took over his father's multimillion company until he came of age and took the burden off her. He love his mother and can do anything for her, he is the perfect son and a good person to the public in general, always at the front row in the mosque and a so a very charitable person.

He drove himself to his house where he usually goes to get a way from people but never spends the night unless if necessary because his mother might need him close by. He fell stomach first on the bed upon entering his bedroom, suddenly feeling very tired. His phone suddenly started ringing and he struggle to pull it out of his pocket, managing to pick up just when it was about to finish ring.

"Hey, man" he said in between gritted teeths his mood changing in a matter of seconds.

"No, I am very busy. I can't get away really but will ring you when I have time."

"Uh , yea I miss you guys too. We will definitely catch up , sure! "

" Yea,  later" he said and quickly turned off the phone all together. He still can't bring himself to meet up with his friends since after that dreadful night. He have been avoiding them and Cursing the day he ever met them.

The dark feeling and thoughts he have been holding off at the back of his mind came back all at once. He closed his eyes but only seem to see that scene, that tiny voice. He opened his eyes but it was still there, he angrily stood up and went to his mini fridge taking out the only thing that will make him forget and drown his sorrow. He took 5 bottles and lay there, falling into a deep sleep, induced by alcohol.

At the sight of our home it felt like my heart lunge into my stomach, dreading what I will meet when we go inside the house. Hajiya mariya the kind elderly woman who saved me from the hospital, sitting beside me seem to notice my uneasiness as we approach our house. She squeezed my hand in support and smiled at me to show she's there for me, I smiled back at her a small smile that didn't reach my eyes.

"Assalamu alaikum " hajiya said going ahead into our house while I cower  behind her dreading the encounter with inna. She was sitted on a mat completely at ease without a worry in the world humming a song while picking beans. Inna looked up to see us coming into the house and jumped up immediately, "What do you think you are doing coming back into this house" she shouted and then turned to Hajiya" And who are you barging into my house like this?" She directed to her.

"Please can I have a seat so that we could talk?" Hajiya mariya asked but inna is having none of that "No! Since you came in with this black sheep there is no place for you to seat in my house and if you know what is good for you, just leave my house before I shout on top of my lungs to attract people" she said full of anger.

"Subhanallah, what kind of a mother are you?" Hajiya asked already getting angry from inna's aggressive behaviour. Still hidden in a conner I didn't dare completely step into the house.

"You can't come into my house and ask me silly questions and yes that child is not mine and godforbid will she ever be mine" she spat." She is no longer welcome in this household kindly leave my house or you will face my wrath" she heaved.

"Allah ya sauwaqa(may Allah deliver you)" Hajiya said nodding her head and looking at me with sympathy. She walked up to me and hugged my telling me it will be alright, she helped me back to her car and sat me down.

"She is not your real mother, is she?" She asked wiping the tears off my face.

"My mother died when I was an infant, I never knew her" I managed to say. " My father died when I was 12 years of age leaving me in the care of my step mother, who had never treated like her child. My childhood was full of hardship but it was quit owk when my dad was alife after his death everything ba came worst. She made me drop out of school and hawk food for her without proper feeding"

"Don't worry in sha Allah tomorrow will be better, will you come with my to my house?" She asked smiling at me.

Why shouldn't I? I have no where else to go and she had helped me only a nice person can do that, anywhere is better than my present predicament. With out hesitation I nodded my head praying to Allah for his guidance.

"In sha Allah I will be the grandmother you never had " she promised getting into the car and ordering the driver to start the car.

I looked ahead uncertain of what will happen to me from today onward but one thing is for certain I will forever resent the person who destroyed my life that's for sure!
