Nooriyya draped in an orange lafaya with small designs in white, beneath the lafaya she wore the latest super wax green in color , she adorned her ears and neck with a heavy set of gold with their bangles to match, all curtesy of umma with a cool fragrance of the famous maiduguri turaren wuta emanating from her, umma spared no expenses in making sure she looked every part of a bride. A lady was flown from maiduguri to work on her skin and hair, umma kept saying it is all for the benefit of her son she wants him to know how lucky he is to have her and see her as the gem she is. Another lady from kano was brought to renew her faded henna with a more fancy and beautiful one. When they were all done with her even she herself couldn't recognize herself. Despite what happened, immediately they came back from the hospital, umma jumped into preparation to send her away to her husbands house. She made sure Noorie was involved in every aspect of the preparations not allowing her space to seat down and think and it really did good to her because she hadn't have time to seat and think about munnir and how he had hurt her. Between umma and Abbad she had no time to entertain such thoughts, she was fully booked and she is really glad for the distraction. Now here she was fully dressed ready to leave umma for her husbands house.

She sat on her bed thoughts faraway, staring blankly at space, oblivious to the preparations going on in the house.
Everything happened suddenly, there she was swearing off men till eternity and then he came around and made her change the way she looked at men, completely he gave her an insight of love crushed her resolve, showed her the other side of men, the caring and the loving side  and finally the evil side. What hurt her the most was how he dropped her, without an explanation he took the coward way out. It had been over two weeks no phone calls no messages and no face to face visit. She heard about his family sending over her stuff from his house even though umma tried hard to keep that away from her, she still cried herself to sleep that night, but alhamdulillah with each passing day the pain lessen.

"Maama Maama! Ummah Arif said you are leaving our house and will never come back, is that true? Please don't leave me. I want to go with you" Abbad said with tears in his eyes clinging to me. Trying to control my own tears I blinked severally holding Unto him.
"Shhhh my baby don't cry, I will always be there for you. I am just going a way for awhile and besides you have ummah with you, don't you want to stay with ummah and protect her from those bad aliens just like the teenage ninja turtles" I said in a soothing voice wiping away his tears.

"Yes! I am Angelo and I will fight them just like this" he said imitating them kicking the air with his legs and throwing air punches. Looking at how easily I diverted his attention I smile at his innocence my heart swelling with love, How would my new life be? Will I be accepted ? Even though munnir didn't say anything I heard the main reason that stopped our wedding was because of my son Abbad, they caught whim of him not having a dad and that was why they stopped the wedding.

I looked at my little boy even though the situation which led to having him was a terrible one but Alhamdulillah for having him, I have never regretted having him in my life and will never in shaa Allah. I pulled him in for a hug and and kissed his forehead allowing my tears to flow freely. I can't go with him to my new home not wanting to cause more inconvenience to fahad after his sacrifice of marrying someone like and taking my son to stay with him is too much, even though ummah said she prefer him staying with her because she will be lonely.

"Awww! Mother and son, times up. You should reserve you tears for ummah too because she's waiting for you in her room to bid you farewell, the cars to convey the bride are outside" soffie said pulling Abbad away from me and sending him off to play.

My heart gave a loud thud! This is really happening and the reality of the matter weighed heavily on my chest. She held my hand and helped me towards ummah's room. She was seated on the only couch in her room, sofie led me towards her my face already covered with the edges of the lafaya. We stopped right in front of her,
