A week later and the boys are more than prepared. With the second round of the talent show fast approaching, the boys are nowhere short of hard work. Because of the short amount of time given, the boys doubled their practice time from 10 hours a day to 13 almost 14 hours a day. Their choreography was created in one day, thanks to all the boys' contribution.

At the same time, Jihoon had finalized their song and just a day or two later, the boys had already memorized their lines and their cues.

But it's not only their performance that the boys are starting to improve on. Without them realizing, there is also a development in their socialization skills and so far that is on the midst of success.

Wonwoo is now starting to warm up to the boys, he was also smiling more often now. Much to Mingyu's delight. Mingyu is still Mingyu, the giant puppy who always pouts like a child when he doesn't get what he wants or when Wonwoo ignores him. Mingyu has also developed a frenemy type of relationship with Seungkwan.

Hansol would often compare them to an American kid show called Tom and Jerry but only Jisoo actually understood that reference of course.

Hansol was mostly seen hanging out with Seungcheol, Wonwoo and sometimes Mingyu if he is not busy chasing Seungkwan around like a cat to a mouse. Hansol is also not that shy anymore, Seungcheol would sometimes find the younger joking around and laughing out loud with the other boys. Seungcheol didn't change much, he was still the serious and strict leader.

The boys would even joke about him being their dad because of how he treats the boys sometimes. He treats them like children and would scold them like one. Seungcheol pretty much acts the part of a father to a child....well children. Of course the boys' joke didn't stop there, If they joke about Seungcheol being the dad of the group, They also joked about someone being the mom of the group.

It all started when Dino accidentally hurt himself from Dancing and Jeonghan reacted like a very worried Eomma. Jeonghan also developed a habit of calling Dino his baby and he  would randomly ask the younger whose baby is he and Dino being a good maknae, reluctantly answers the older.

It was super embarrassing but some of the boys actually finds it cute while some find it weird. So Jeonghan earned the title as the mom of the group, even moreso when he began treating the other boys like children. The ones Jeonghan loves to treat like a child the most are Dino, Jihoon, Seokmin, The8 and surprisingly even Seungkwan, much to the youngers' annoyance.

Jeonghan and Seungkwan rarely have feuds anymore and they could now even pass days without fighting. The boys have no idea what changed between the two but one day they just did. If there was a mom and dad in the group, the boys didn't stop there and added an uncle.

And who was best qualified to be an uncle other than Jisoo. They peg Jisoo as an uncle who always disciplines and give lectures to the boys. The type of uncle who doesn't like profanities and would scold the boys if he hears one comes out of their mouths.

Soonyoung and Jihoon grew even closer, if that was possible. They would spend their time in Jihoon's studio. The boys wonders what those two boys are doing locked in inside the studio.

The8 and Jun had grown closer too and them being both chinese started their bond. In their breaktimes, the two chinese boys would try to teach the other boys some basic chinese words and phrase but not too much because they don't want the boys to understand their secret conversations.

Seokmin and Seungkwan along with Soonyoung became the gag trio when it comes to making jokes or just being noisy in general. The boys are a little worried on how Seungkwan and Soonyoung is influencing Seokmin, the word shup up is starting to become foreign to the latter.

The noise that Seungkwan, Soonyoung and Seokmin does combined is almost enough to make the boys' ears fall off. But aside from that, the trio are pretty entertaining to watch with their weird and crazy antics.

Dino, other than being treated like a baby, was also expressing himself more often. He even shared to the boys his obsession with Micheal Jackson, a fact that even the delinquents didn't even know. Soonyoung then corporated a little MJ dance moves in their choreography, much to the maknae's delight.

The boys have gotten closer to each other, forming a bond they didn't know was possible but still happened. It's only a matter of time before they perform again and things are doing well for them. Just two more days before the second round and the boys are more than prepared.

They are ready.

"Are you boys sure that you're just gonna to wear those for your performance later? Isn't that a bit informal?" The council rep questioned as he eyed the boys one by one from head to foot. 

The boys just shrugged their shoulders. There was nothing wrong with their outfit of choice really. It was actually Wonwoo's idea that the boys should just wear whatever they want.

"Let the boys be" their teacher interjected. The boys smiled at her, she smiled back before playfully glaring at the council rep.

"Anyways......boys you would be performing after VIXX. Well you already know the drill" the teacher joked, lightening up the mood.

Laughing lightly, the boys bid their temporary goodbyes to their teacher and started walking to the other side of the stage, where their entrance point will be. As they neared their performance, different emotions came to the boys.

Mostly, they were filled with anxiousness. Afraid or nervous especially to what may happen. Alot of 'what ifs' had disturbed their supposed to be calmness therefore adding up to the already boiling point of their anxiety.

What if their song is unpleasant to hear? What if their choreography is bad? What if the judges will hate their outfits? What if their hard work is not enough? What if...........what if.......

"Boys this is it. This is what we have been preparing for for the past two weeks and today, out there, we will show them how hard we worked for our performance. We will make them see how we progressed as a group and we will make them know that we will not give up no matter what. We are Fighters and We will fight till the end"

Seungcheol's peptalk threw all the boys' anxiety away and replaced them with determination, strengthened their fighting spirit. There's nothing impossible when they work together, they will give all their best and perform like true performers.

The boys formed a circle and then placed their right hand on the center, on top of each other.
they counted one to three before shouting at the top of their lungs.

"FIGHTING!"

Just ten minutes passed, VIXX exits the stage and one of the staffs signals the boys to get ready. With one last intake of a big breath, the boys walks out of the stage where they are greeted with loud cheers from their fangirls that they didn't even know exists.

The boys nearly scrambles to their position but still kept their calm posture and takes center stage.

The music started playing and the cheers became louder.

The boys puts their game face on and their performance finally began.

"BAKSU!"

"SEVENTEEN RIGHT HERE!"
