Karen walked along the sidewalk, not sure where she was headed. She already felt eyes staring at her, wondering if she had run away, which was technically true. "Goodness, if I sleep anywhere on the streets tonight, I'm as good as toast," she muttered sleepily to herself. She turned into a food store to get some breakfast, but the short hairs on her neck rose, as the door opened closely behind her. The group of men that entered, pretended to be looking through the shelves as well, taking a peek at Karen every once in a while. One of them men, with two others, close behind him approached her. "Ma'am, do you have your vacation slip with you? If you don't, you are considered a runaway," he reminded, pulling his jacket to the side for a second to show her a hidden gun stuck in his pants.

Karen scoffed, "Wow, I can't believe this. The first time I go in public without him, and I'm already threatened. I see how it is," she icily replied, taking a step back, and giving him a look of disappointment.

"As much as you hate it, you still have to give me a reason to let you out of here alive," he replied, three more men circling her, blocking her off from any chance of escape.

Feeling someone coming from behind, Karen spun around to punch the person with her left hand, but he easily caught her fist. He lifted her arm and spun her 180 degrees to face away from him, and at her stalkers, "This ring on her finger is her proof. What kind of man is going to give his wife a permission slip to go wherever she likes? Do you guys not use your brain?" The man holding Karen retorted. The other men took several steps back, not because of what he said, but because of whom he was. Blabbering an excuse, the pursuers quickly left the shop.

The second they walked out the door, the man let Karen's hand go. "You may be a newlywed still, but you need to be careful, you're associated with the Underground Society, it's a dangerous place," He gently warned.

"Thank you," she replied, stepping away from him.

He smiled warmly at her, "Sorry for the strange meeting, I'm known as Ironfist."

"Hi, Lazy Warrior," she shortly replied, still having very little reason to trust this Ironfist.

"I know, I've seen your fights. What I'm curious about, is how you stole J-Hope's heart. I've been his friend for a long time, I was quite shocked he had a private marriage with you. He isn't one to get attached."

Karen forced a fake smile, that looked real, "He may not look like it, but he has a heart." She explained, grabbing ahold of sandwich before retreating towards the cashier.

Ironfist followed her at a close distance, "Are you going home now?" He asked, surprised she was walking.

"No, we had a fight, I don't feel like talking to him right now,"

"Oh, that's cool! You can hang out with me!" He shouted.

"Yeah, I don't know how I feel about-"

"Oh, don't worry, I'll tell him you're with me," Ironfist chirped, dialing in a memorized number.

J-Hope, staying up the whole night from a workout tantrum, and then finding Karen was gone, was exhausted and distraught. He was driving around her neighborhood to see if she went for a walk when his phone rang. "Hello?" He asked.

"Ayo, J-Hope! Ironfist here. I just met your girl getting some breakfast, we're gonna hang out, okay? Thanks, Man!" The caller shouted before ending the call.

J-Hope's eyes widened in fear, "Oh, no," he gasped. "Argh, what do I do?" He asked himself. His head hit the steering wheel in frustration. Sending out a loud long honk from his car. He quickly pulled himself together, thinking of place he'd go if he were Ironfist.

"He says he's cool with it," Ironfist informed Karen.

"Are you sure? It didn't seem like he talked. He also hasn't talked about you to me at all," Karen questioned.

"It's all cool. We're good friends. Besides, he doesn't tell you a lot of things, well anyone in that case. Want to go to the park nearby? It's a lot of fun, come on!" He cried, pulling her along before she could protest.

Karen and Ironfist walked comfortably in the park together, as they talked. "I can't pull my head around it. Why get married when you're going to fight in the championship?" Ironfist asked.

Karen shrugged, "Maybe he just wants to be secure," she reasoned.

Iron fist gave her a flat smile with an eyebrow raised, "You're saying you have no idea why you two married?"

"Not like I had a choice anyway," she replied with a haughty scoff.

"Ah, true. Do you mind telling me what you two fought about?"

"Personal," she said blandly.

Ironfist nodded his head. "Well, we met when we were just little kids. I was just an average kid with an ambition to grow up and be a principal!" Karen rose both of her eyebrows as if she misheard him. "I didn't like people telling me what to do. So if I became the principal, I could tell other people what to do. No one supported my dream except J-Hope. We became such good friends, we'd sleep at each other's house and force each other to study more. For instance, sometimes he'd pull my cheeks apart and tell me how cute I looked when I wasn't studying. Of course, I didn't want to be called cute, so I pretended to study. I put a fake snake in his bed one night. I think I've instilled in him the fear of all snakes after that night," Ironfist sighed, "He was such a good kid."

Karen nodded. She knew this tactic. Whether or not this story was true or not, his easy-going talk about everything, was to make her comfortable around him and open up. However, she had no intentions of doing so. Why on earth would a person from the Underground Society trust so easily? It made no sense, something was going on. "You seem to know him very well."

"I do," He replied proudly.

"Then could you tell me who he killed to make him...so...broken?" Karen asked, eventually bringing the walk to a stop near some trees and a picnic table.   Ironfist stopped in shock, a few tears beginning to trickle down his cheeks.
