What Just Happened?

(Chapter 2)

"EARTHQUAKE!!!"

I wondered who yelled that, it sounded familiar...

I realized it was me.

Oh my gosh.

OH MY GOSH!

What should I do What should I do What should I DO!?!

Get under the bed, right, get under the bed.

I scramble off of my bed and crawl underneath my bed.

I start to hear screaming, houses falling apart, cars honking... mainly people screaming.

I realize I'm crying.

No, I'm bawling.

The room is shacking so much, i can't even see properly, everything is a blur!

I peek out from under my bed. All of my nicknack's and picture frames fall off one by one off of my shelf

CRASH!!!

There goes my shelf.

I start to cry even harder.

This is madness! I mean, Why me?

Why does this have to happen to me and not someone else?

"AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

"HELP!!!!"

BOOM!!

Then I realized it wasn't just me, it was everyone.

I wasn't alone in all of this despair.

"SOMEBODY, ANYBODY!!"

"LORD HELP US!!!"

CRASH!

I stare to cry even harder.

THUMP!!

Oh my gosh my ceiling just fell down.

The screams are even louder now.

"HELP US!!"

AHHHHHHHHH!!!"

I crawl further down under my bed and curl up into a tiny little ball.

I start to pray. I don't do it a lot, I should, but I don't really think about it.

Now I'm praying like there's no tomorrow.

Dear lord, please be with us, and let this earthquake end soon...

I find myself saying it out loud.

"Please be with the old and the young, and keep my friends and family safe. Amen."

I haven't even thought about my friends and family.

Oh my gosh, I hope their ok!!

And as soon as it started, it stopped.

The earthquake was over.
