The popular one, (y/n) has a status of herself in school. She never meant to become as popular, she was just nice to people. Also with her cool demeanor and that careful smile, people were enchanted by that. (y/n) was always so kind to people, she didn't really want all of this attention. From attention, it lead to crushes on her. (y/n) receives childish loves notes, and even confessions. Though the ones she hates the most are text message confessions. Little to no effort, seriously. (y/n) didn't really want that kind of attention. Though she's very flattered.

From flattery to gifts, (y/n) just wanted to get to know someone. Everyone knows her, but she barely knows anyone else. After all, she just moved to Japan. She recently started to attend this school. Then her voice and eyes enchanted many. Of course (y/n) does have friends that she can go to. Friends that love her personality, not her looks or voice. From that, (y/n) is in the same class as Yuma Tsukumo, how can (y/n) know he doesn't exist? Yuma, a great duelist and won a tournament or many. Of course he's been on headlines and such! It's amazing.

Though that's the case for Yuma. He's usually so outgoing and obnoxious, but he freezes around (y/n). His heart would go into his throat as it bumps fast. Butterflies are in his stomach as he stares at her. For once, he's all quiet and still. His cheeks pinken but he catches himself staring at her. It's not like him to be so shy and coy. Whenever he wants to be someone's friend, he says it. Even when something isn't right, he speaks his mind ever single time. So does he freeze around her? Is it her smile, or the copious amount of people?

She was popular, and Yuma is popular in a different. Yuma is popular with his dueling skills. (y/n) is popular due to her attitude and such. It was never about her social status for her, it was just manners and kindness. Do people enjoy her kindness that much? Well, she is like a ray of sunshine. Warm, cozy, and makes you feel great on difficult days. Her demeanor is also so approachable as well. Everyone else can approach her, but not Yuma. He gets all clammy and weird. He stumbles around on his words and feet. He can be a dunce from time to time.

"You like her, that's all there is to it!" Laughed Alito.

"I'm just torn guys, I don't know what I should do!" Yuma stammered.

"I mean, she can't be that hard to talk to. Rio, (y/n), and I go on the same school route every day. So Rio knows her pretty well. She's easy to talk to... strangely enough..." Ryoga spoke back after he finished chewing.

"She's also just really nice, I hang out with her during gym with Cathy!" Kotori smiled.

"Yeah, (y/n) and I actually work at the same place. She one time brought in cupcakes for my birthday. That was fun." Vector chuckled lightly.

"Why does everyone know her more than I do?! Ahhh!" Yuma messed up his own hair.

"Relax, it's not that hard to talk to her." Cathy spoke.

"She's quiet at times, so you should talk to her first." Ryoga took a sip from his water.

"But she's always around people." Yuma sighed.

"So? Talk to her between class periods." Vector spoke, "She's literally in the same class you."

"You're right Vector! Next class I'll talk to her!" Yuma smiled.

"This was a terrible mistake." Yuma almost mumbled to himself.

"Are you serious right now? At lunch you were so adamant to talking to her, what happened now?!" Kotori slightly snapped back.

Yuma was continious hitting his head on the desk, "Kill me please."

"Y-Yuma right?" Yuma looked up, it was (y/n).

He sat up straight, but he had a sheepish smile, "You know me?"

(y/n) giggled, "Of course! How can I not know you! You're so funny and I love your dueling skills!"

Yuma's smile widened, "R-really?! You like my dueling, and you think I'm funny?!"

(y/n) nodded, "I always laugh with you!" She placed some hair behind her own hair, "I was actually wondering if you can look at my deck, I needed some advice. You're like a total pro you know!"

Kotori shook her head side to side, but Yuma loved it, "Yeah totally! I can teach you everything!"

(y/n) smiled, "It's a date then!"

"Wah, wait-"

"We'll talk more after class, I see the teacher, Yuma." She turned around and returned to her own seat.
