Her calm demeanor was enough for herself. (y/n) was never really talkative, and she was completely fine with that. She usually likes to observe the matters and give her opinion later. A stoic person, which leads to a cool person for some people. Her face was usually blank, and her voice remained fairly normal.  Well, (y/n) did get some attraction from other's. For instance, her former dueling rival, Ryoga Kamishiro. Their rival ways developed into friendship, but Ryoga started to have more and more feelings for the female. Her persona in front of people, it made him insane.

The other one, Thomas Arclight. She only knows him through Chris Arclight. (y/n) was an apprentice of his, she worked on many things with him. However, her love for science faded away, she worked for dueling now. She still focus on science here and there, but it's mostly dueling. Through that, she dueled Thomas, and they became tag team partners. They even faced Ryoga and Yuma from time to time. That's when jealousy comes in, Thomas spends a lot of time with the female. He even seen her laugh from time to time. Sooner or later, Thomas fell in love with that smile.

The both of them even constructed the perfect tag-team deck. They're practically unstoppable. Thomas having that relationship with someone is amazing, but it lead Ryoga to be jealous. Ryoga feels as if he should be in Thomas' place. Ryoga thinks he's the better duelist than Thomas. So why should (y/n) duel with a guy like him? Thomas is a jerk, and cheats from time to time. Though, shouldn't he be happy? If (y/n) is happy, then Ryoga should be. Well, no, he's envious. So he knows that (y/n) is not dating anyone, so he can make the first move on her. It's a plan.

Over time of gifts, flowers, and compliments, (y/n) grew tiresome. However, she still loves the efforts from Ryoga. Now she would smile more and more around. She still kept her composure around the male. Soon, (y/n) started to spend more and more and more time with Ryoga. This left Thomas alone on certain nights. She would post pictures on social media on her outings with Ryoga, so Thomas knows. Thomas now feel envious, it should be him. He actually has a close bond with her. Thomas now wanted to make his moves on her. He was going to make (y/n) his.

After a good duel with her, he asked her out. (y/n) spoke back, "Sorry but I'm going out with Ryoga tonight. How about this Friday? Is that okay?"

Thomas felt himself shatter, but he smiled, "Of course!"

Though as he was trying to speak more, Ryoga walked up to them. He gave (y/n) a helmet and looked at Thomas, "Hey Arclight." He had a smirk on his face.

Thomas gritted his teeth, "Hey Shark."

(y/n) nodded and gave a little smile, "Hello Ryoga. And thank you Thomas for today's duel, I'll see next time."

Thomas watched (y/n) leave with Ryoga. The other male even looked over his shoulder with a sly look. Thomas clenched his fist.

"Fuck him..." He muttered under his breath.
