O Z

348 40 7

let the tornado come,

and sweep me off to another land.

kill my body where it lies,

because this nightmare I can no longer stand.

place my feet on the yellow-brick road,

lost of courage, mind, and heart.

for the people of Oz and I are on the same side,

we're all so silently falling apart.

so let the tornado come,

and tear this cruel house to the ground.

kill my mind of what it beholds,

because in my thoughts, I only seem to drown.

I'll face the wizard and his ruse,

he's not the only one hiding away his true self.

for we're more alike than we seem,

to kill the witch is but a silent scream for help.

so just let the tornado come,

in the lands of Oz I shall forever roam,

hoping that maybe I'll belong,

because they always say there's no place like home.
