Kenny x Butters [Simple Syrup COMPLETED]

"Your call has been forwarded to an automatic voice message system. Please leave a massage after the tone. Beep." Said the pre-recorded female voice.

"Hey Buttercup, it's me, again" Kenny had been trying to get in touch with Butters for the fifths time, "just calling to let you know that I won't be able to come over tonight because today is one of the servers' birthday, so I'm going over his place. I'm assuming you still haven't charged your phone. Text me when you have a chance. I love you"

Kenny had been calling and texting Butters like the usual, but that day was different because he hadn't gotten replies back. He first thought Butters was still upset from what happened between them behind the bushes, but he shook it off because he knew his lover wasn't the type to stay mad for that long. He thought that maybe he was too busy with his studies and projects, therefore, he wasn't worried of his whereabout. He gave another look at his phone before he put it away in his jeans' pocket. He closed the locker's door and headed out of changing room where a group of coworkers was waiting for him. They were all going to Daniel's house to celebrate his 22nd birthday party, and even though Kenny didn't feel like going, he felt obligated because the two had known each other for many years, so it would be rude if he had refused the invitation.

After 20 minutes drive, Kenny arrived to Daniel's house, he parked his car one block down, and was walking toward the party. He took out his phone and checked if Butters texted him back, but didn't see anything. He put his phone away and look straight ahead. There were people walking into the house and Kenny recognized all of them. Most of them stopped to wait for him, among them was Cindy.

"Hi Cindy" Kenny greeted and waved at her, "I didn't know you knew Daniel"

"Yeah he's in my history class" Cindy replied with a big smile on her face and threw her arms around Kenny's neck. "Yay! We finally get to hang out!"

"Yeah! Man, it's been a while hasn't it?" Kenny showed her some polite interest and hugged her back. "Let's go inside" He said to the rest of the group, they resumed walking, and went inside the house.

There were more people than he expected. Kenny first went to look for Daniel around the house. He found him in the kitchen and they fist-bumped each other while Kenny wished him a happy birthday. Daniel told him to grab a drink and to make himself at home. He went to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of Sierra Nevada Summerfest Crisp Lager. Cindy, who had never left his side, asked him to get one for her as well. After reaching his hand once more, Kenny pulled out another bottle for the girl and uncapped it with the opener. Then they joined Daniel and group of friends, sitting on the stool of the kitchen island, and started to talk about random stuff, laughing and cheering for the birthday boy.

It was getting late and Butters was pacing back and forth in his room. He didn't know where Kenny was and he was feeling bumped out because he couldn't find his phone. After his class, Butters went to look for it behind the bushes, but he couldn't find it. He didn't memorized Kenny's and Tweek's numbers, so he couldn't get in touch with either of them. Kenny also never gave him his email so Butters couldn't even write him... However, he sent one to Tweek but Butters didn't know that Tweek was out of town with Craig and his family.

It was getting late and he concluded that Kenny wasn't coming over for the night. He wasn't upset or anything, he was just curious of his whereabout. He was sure that something had came up and that was why he couldn't make it, and if Leo had his phone on him, he would know that Kenny had let many messages. He let out a sigh and finally decided to go to bed. He really wanted to see his Kenny but there was nothing he could do. He would just had to wait for the next day on campus before class. Leo turned off his lap on the nightstand and slowly drifted away into Dreamland, feeling his eyes getting heavier, and fell asleep in no time.
