**Chapter 7 - Phoenix Blood**

"My King!" The Harenaean King’s five servants knelt beside their dead monarch.

The Voshkian elves left the large cottage and followed the Queen of Thorns outside.

"Madam, would you even command us to kill the Queen of Thorns?" one of King Acricius's five servants asked the weeping, crippled Madam Prifterley.

"Carry me! Bring me to my father!" the crippled Madam said, tears streaming down her cheeks.

The five servants lifted her and carried her to her father’s body, which lay in the middle of the large cottage’s ground.

The Queen of Thorns walked outside and shouted, "The King of Harenae is dead!"

"Voshkians! Burn this city to the ground!"

The Voshkian elves kicked over barrels of flammable gas and threw torches onto the liquid-soaked ground. All the wooden cottages in Bear Land were set ablaze.

The large cottage of Wun’s parents, where the five servants of the Harenaean King were residing, was also consumed by flames, alongside the corpse of the king and his crippled daughter.

The crippled Madam Prifterley raised her left hand. Using her sharp nails, she slit her arm and let her blood flow into her father’s mouth.

"We will rise from the ashes! The Lord of Fire shall resurrect us from our dead bodies, and all our scars shall be healed! Our words are powerful! Igitur incendemus!" the crippled Madam shouted.

As her army and the five servants of the king burned, they were engulfed by the fire.

"This land is yours now," the Queen of Thorns said to the frightened Wun.

"Where is Madam Prifterley?" Wun asked, his voice trembling.

"Let’s go. We will return to Verdeen. I need to deal with the Lord Commander!" Queen Annysha said.

At the middle of the night, they left the burning city of Bear Land, which was now in ruins.

They sailed using the Voshkian ships across the Mermentos. Meanwhile, the Harenaean army, along with the crippled Madam and her father, rose again from the ashes. The king was revived, his body healed but his eyes burning like fire. The crippled Madam, although still broken due to her father's curse, also rose, and the phoenixes flew into the sky.

"Screeeeech!" The phoenixes cried out.

From the Voshkian ships, Queen Annysha saw hundreds of phoenixes soaring above the sky.

They reached the coast of Voshkai at dawn, stepping onto the hardened lava from Mt. Voshkai. The ruined Castle Voshki, broken and burnt but still standing, greeted them.

"Start to repair your castle, Queen Tucia!" Queen Annysha instructed the elf queen.

"A luxurious castle, my queen!" Queen Tucia replied, standing beside her husband, King Clemagne Voshki.

"May the Nine Angels guide you, my queen!" King Clemagne said.

"Screeeech!" An eagle cried out.

"Barton's eagles!" Queen Annysha exclaimed upon seeing her brother's five giant eagles flying into the sky.

"Bart, Rook, Flor, Drake, Bret!" Queen Annysha called out to the eagles by name.

The eagles landed in front of the queen. With Wun, the queen mounted Bart, the largest eagle, and they flew to the capital.

"Where’s the High King?" Queen Annysha shouted in the Castle Verde's throne hall, holding Wun.

She saw people dressed in elegant attire, and at the base of the high throne stood the High King Erin, holding a young girl in a white long dress with silver hair and a tan complexion.

The people murmured and stared at the furious Queen of Thorns.

The beautiful young girl glanced at Queen Annysha.

"Queen Annysha! Haven’t you received my invitation?" the High King called out while standing with the girl.

The ceremony continued.

"Excuse me, my queen! It’s the High King’s wedding!" a servant whispered to Queen Annysha.

"A wedding? Who is the bride?" Queen Annysha asked.

"Princess Krynnah Silva from the Silvan Tribe," the servant replied.

Queen Annysha was shocked. She recognized the old woman with silver hair, white dress, and pale skin, standing below the bride and groom. The old woman glared at her with intense eyes.

The Queen of Thorns watched the ceremony in silence.

Meanwhile, at the Castle Rose in Thorns, King Syantus walked down a dark hallway toward his room. A beautiful woman with pale skin and golden hair, wearing a black cloak, appeared from the shadows.

"My King!" she said, standing before him.

She removed her black cloak and seductively approached the king. The king, driven by passion, aggressively kissed her.

He carried her into his room.

"Uuuughh!" the woman moaned erotically.

She straddled the panting King Syantus, and with a golden dagger raised high in both hands, she struck it into his chest.

King Syantus took his last breath, blood oozing from his lips as he lay with the dagger on his chest. The woman quickly left the room, closing the door behind her.

At the Castle Verde, Queen Annysha and Wun left abruptly. The queen, deeply saddened and silent due to the wedding, returned to Castle Rose with the five eagles of her lost brother.

Entering her husband’s room that night without guards or servants, she was horrified to find him dead. She cried out in agony.

"Aaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!" the queen shouted, tears streaming down her cheeks as she knelt beside her husband’s lifeless body, the dagger still embedded in his chest.

She mourned, shouting in despair until her lady servants found her.
