Violet and I looked at each other. "Fine." She said, "Let's kill them."

My heart stopped. Violet was so sweet...she didn't seem like the type who would want to fight.

I couldn't find it in myself to fight, but I was determined to do what I could.

Violet stepped forward and I grabbed her arm. "Violet..." I said, quietly.

"They're hurting him, Beatrice!" She said, aggressively. I reluctantly let go of her and watched as she ran up to one of Cedric's 'friends'. The grass beneath her died with each step, and the trees around her began to decay. She lunged at the Lion hybrid who ducked in response, and sent a large chunk of earth flying at Violet, which slammed her against the tree.

Leila was busy forming a shield of lightning and darkness around the deer hybrid who had morphed out of his deer form and was backed up against the shield away from her. Star was still beating the crap out of Cedric. I was surprised she wasn't using her elements.

Suddenly, a huge wave of water crashed down on the skunk hybrid.

"Star!" I shouted, and a bubble of water was formed around her head as she writhed and kicked. Cedric laughed, staggering to his feet, his palm out and facing her, large waves building up behind him. One of his elements was water....a powerful element.

"Stop it!!" I shouted, sending a blast of light, knocking him back, he caught himself and landed on his feet.

Star collapsed and began coughing up water. I ran to her side.

"Star! Are you ok?" I asked. She merely nodded, as she attempted to catch her breath and continued to cough.

I looked up just in time to see a huge wave of water crashing down on us. I squeezed my eyes shut and put my hands up, and slowly..the water slowed to a stop. Everything froze. I kept my hands up as I looked around. Star was coughing up water, Leila was protecting the deer, and Violet was using 'fear' to get into that Lion hybrids head. He looked close to passing out so I figured Violet could defeat him. However there were two others heading towards Star and I. One of them had the element of Psych. I could tell because his eyes held deep purple swirls in them.

That wasn't a good sign. Psych was powerful against both my elements. I felt myself wearing down, I couldn't freeze time much longer I needed a solution. I could only use my other element when time wasn't frozen so I had to think quickly. I released time and a light shield surrounded Star and I just as the water crashed down on us, the waves slamming into the shield. My arms were trembling.

"Bea..you good?" Star asked. I nodded and forced a small smile at her. She didn't smile back, she was busy watching the waves crash over the shield.

"How long can Hybrids with water elements hold a wave? Geez.." She mumbled to nobody in particular.

"A very...long time..that's what makes them so powerful..." I said, straining. The shield was pulsating.

"Bea...release the shield and hold your breath. We can swim to the top."

"What?! No we can't! He'll drown us!"

"He's distracted." She pointed out. Cedric was holding our wave still while dealing with Leila. I nodded, and we both took a deep breath, before releasing the shield.

Water immediately rushed over me as we both swam to the top, it was cold and incessant. The wave was a lot larger than I thought, yet I kept swimming and swimming towards the top. I wasn't getting any closer. I stopped. My lungs were aching badly. Cedric was smirking at us, he must have formed a huge bubble of water around us. I looked over at Star, the water around her was freezing.

I jumped back, a bubble of water escaping my mouth before I slammed my hands over it. Star nodded at me.

'What is she doing...?' Then I realized what she wanted me to do.

I faced my palm towards her, and light shot out through the water, it seemed just like a tiny sliver in the water, just before slamming into the ice and shattering it, along with the water around us. We both began to fall out of thin air. I landed with a thud first, and nearly got knocked out from the landing. Then something wrapped around my ankle. I was just catching my breath as I looked down to see a purple vine wrapped around my ankle, before I was yanked towards the tiger hybrid with psych and nature. He grinned at me, his fangs showing as the vines continued wrapping around me, holding me in place.

His eyes returned to purple swirls. I tried not to look but....

I felt myself slowly drifting away, my eyes drooping and my mind reeling in horror as I slipped away into whatever nightmare world he would throw me into. Then it all went black.
