"Beatrice, can I speak with you?" I heard the sound of Violet's soft voice from behind me.

"Huh? Oh yeah." I said, forcing a smile. She returned the smile and came to join me as I walked.

There was silence for a moment. We simply walked side by side, the leaves fluttering in the wind.

"So what is it you wanted to talk to me about..?" I asked, my heart was pounding but I had no idea why.

"I just wanted to know why you entered that competition..."

I sighed. "It's just...Leila and I had made a deal...and I had t-"

"But..I mean I warned you! Does that not matter to you?" She asked whimsically.

"Wha?! No! It-It does! It really shouldn't be that big of a deal to you anyways, it's none of your business!"

Why was I so angry? I just felt so agitated for no reason. Violet looked hurt, but I didn't feel bad. Why did this situation seem so foreign to me?

"I was just wondering.." Violet mumbled. "It's just so strange for you to suddenly do that..and like I said, they're violent. I'm just worried, that's all."

I exhaled sharply, my mind felt fuzzy. Wait...this wasn't real.

"Bea...Bea wake up." I heard Donna's cracking voice attempting to wake me.

I blinked a few times, then groggily sat up with a yawn.

"Hm?? It's Saturday..." I mumbled, "Why'd you wake me up?"

"Because you're friends invited you to that sleepover, remember?"

My eyelids felt so heavy, and the blankets were so warm I barely even comprehended what she was saying. I felt myself slowly slipping away.

Then the blankets were yanked off me. I groaned and curled up in a ball, using my tail to cover me.

"Beatrice K! Wake up!" Donna said and threw me on the floor. I landed with a harsh thud, then groaned and got up.

"Fine..I'm awake.."

I got up and splashed cold water on my face, put my hair in a ponytail, and put on a navy blue dress. I brushed my teeth swiftly, then cleaned my room and opened my windows, allowing a warm breeze and sunshine to flood my room. Then I began packing for the sleepover. That's when the dream hit me.

That dream...it was a real future dream. That was going to happen...I think. It felt so foreign, it had to happen. I glanced at the clock. '11:43' Dang, I was supposed to be there at noon. I suddenly felt a rush of adrenaline. I was excited to get to Leila's house so I could tell everyone else I had a real future dream...and I could prevent Violet and I from having a fight. I ran down the stairs, throwing my bag over my shoulder. I nearly slammed into the wall at the end of the hallway.

"Woah Bea! Calm down, girly." Donna chuckled dryly.

I panted and grinned. "Thanks for waking me up! I'll walk back tomorrow, byee!"

"Wait! Don't you want to eat first?" Donna exclaimed, putting her hands on her shell and gazing at me with one green and one black eye.

I sighed. Her food really was good...and I could smell butterscotch in the oven. My mouth began watering, my stomach growling. I shook my head.

"No thanks, I'm going to be late, and I don't want to keep them waiting. Thanks though. Byee nana!" I exclaimed, then ran out the door, accidentally slamming it behind me.

I sprinted through the streets, my heart pounding as I excitedly made my way to Leila's house. She had told me her address and, luckily, told me how to get there. So I didn't need to worry about getting lost. After sprinting for a while, I finally slowed to a jog, then a walk..

I was panting, the sun beating down on me. I groaned.

'Maybe it was a bad idea to sprint..'

I walked for a little bit, the breeze cooling me off as the sun beat down on me. I was still panting, the leaves wafting gently down in the breeze.

Suddenly I heard a soft voice from behind me. "Beatrice is that you?" It was Violet. I spun around and attempted to greet her but I was too out of breath.

"Can I speak with you?" My heart stopped.
