The following morning had arrived and today was the day I had to book out of the hotel. Blake had previously explained to me he had to leave quiet early in the morning, so we made our goodbyes last night.
It was emotional.
I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on my door, signalling that I had over slept and that I should have booked out hours ago. Frantically grabbing my phone I clicked the 'on' button, only to be reminded that It was dead.
Struggling out of bed, I rushed over to the chair to try and find a long t-shirt to place over my half naked body. As I did this, another knock came from the door again. "Just a minute" my tired voice crooked as loud as I could have possible gone at that moment. With that I heard a 'Oh, I'm so sorry miss. I will come back later'.
Sighing in relief, I grabbed all my clothing from the ground and shoved it back into my suitcase as quickly as possible. Doing the same within the bathroom, I quickly scanned how I had to present myself to the check out lady, and possible every single person I knew on earth in that moment in time.
[[Because, you know the drill guys. When you are looking and feeling crappy. You meet EVERYONE you know, and when you are looking the BOMB AF.ORG.CO.UK HUNNNNIIEEEEE, you meet nobodddyyyy... you know it. :( anyways back to the story]]
"Great" I mumbled to myself as I tried to straighten my messy ponytail that didn't look like it was brushed in days. Just as I began to wheel out my suitcase, I had realized I forgot my keys. Looking back around the room in a panic, I eventually located them. Having no time, I rushed out the door and down to the check out desk.
"Hi, I'm so sorry" I managed to say as I began to take out my wallet. "You're late" the girl at the desk said plainly, as she pursed her lips into a tight line, without looking up at me. "Your charge for not booking out on time is $50".
"Fine" I grumbled as I half slammed my hand on the desk with the money and room key-card , before turning around and leaving the hotel.

I began to tap my fingers against the steering wheel along to the beat of the song that was taking over the radio, as I had been stuck in traffic for at least ten minutes. "It seems like it has been too long," I full heartedly sang. Followed by my humming voice as I didn't know the rest of the words.
Pulling into a busy shopping area, I parked my car and rushed into a shop to look for a 'last minute' gift for Sandra as I knew I was going to be spending the holidays with her. The place was packed with people coming and going. Children screaming and mothers going berserk at them for making a scene in public. Others where fighting over who would get the last gift for their 'special loved one', so they claimed. When it was finally my turn to pay for my items I placed a scented candle and a few other items as well as some alcohol on the moving till.

Dragging in my suitcase and placing down my handbag, as well as the bag full of wrapped gifts, I sighed as I entered the kitchen quietly only to be greeted by Sandra putting up some Christmas lights. "I think they are so nice being placed over the window" I said as she turned around to greet me with a big hug. "GIRLLL" she screamed, "Ah I've missed you" she happily said as she pulled back to see me. "How was your weekend. I haven't seen you in like, um" she began to count of her fingers. "a year?" I finished off her sentence as a joke. Laughing at this, I grabbed the bottle of wine and headed into the sitting room which happened to be decorated with a Christmas tree and other colourful* lights which flashed different patterns.
"I've a story for you" I said as she went into the kitchen again for two glasses. "Ohhh" I heard her call from the other room. "Do spill" she said as she placed the glasses on the table when she had returned. "So.. I kind of, got myself into a relationship with" I dragged out the statement. She nodded her head to continue my statement.
"with who Ella. Who is this guy who has made you stop smoking".
Creasing my eyebrows, I looked at her with a confused expression before realizing that I HAD stopped smoking ever since Blake had come onto the scene again. "Oh yeah" I casually said before continuing.
"It's Blake".
Once I had said his name, Sandra let out an excited squeal that sounded, in my opinion.
Very fake and laced with sarcasm.
Ignoring this, I continued to listen to what she was going to say next.
As she placed her glass back down upon the table before embracing me with a hug. "Girl, I knew you two were destined for each other. You just didn't want to admit it" she finished, attempting to produce her best smug grin, before flicking on Netflix.Just what I needed.
Movie night with my best friend.
