Sam's POV
I heard footsteps walking up the stairs and I prayed that it was Ashton. The bedroom door opened and then the closet door. I saw Ashton walk in and I stood up.
"Where are they?" I asked. He shook his head and looked down. I walked over to him and hugged him tightly.
"Are we going to die?" I cried. He shook his head and looked at me.
"I'm not going to let anything happen to you, I promise." Ashton told me. I nodded, believing him. There was a noise from downstairs and I grabbed on to Ashton tighter.
"Ash, what was that?" I asked him.
"I don't know, I'll go figure it out."
"No! You can't go down there! Not alone, not unprotected!" I pleaded. He moved his hand to his back pocket and pulled out a gun.
"Where did you get that?" I asked, stepping back.
"Relax, it's my parent's. They keep it in their nightstand." He said. Ashton kissed the top of my forehead before leaving the closet and walking downstairs.
Liz's POV
I worked and worked at the rope that had my wrists tied. The knots were tight, but not tight enough to keep in them. I finally got one wrist out and used that hand to help get my other wrist untied. Both my hands were now free and I ripped the gag out of my mouth. I leaned down to untie my feet and stood up. I moved over to Calum and untied and ungagged him.
"If we don't get out of here now, we aren't ever going to." I told him.
"Do you hear anything?" He asked. We listened for footsteps but couldn't hear anything. He moved to Alexa and untied her while I untied Luke. Luke untied Talia while I untied a still unconcious Michael. Once Michael was untied I lightly slapped his face to wake him up.
"Michael, get up. We need to get out of here." I whispered. He jolted and looked at me then down at his untied body.
"Hurry and get up, we need to leave and get help for Sam." I told Michael.
"Ashton isn't going to hurt Sam." Talia spoke up. "When he was tieing me up, he told me that he felt that Sam was the only person he could talk to without being judged about his depression. He claims we caused it when we all were mean to him when we were younger. So he's going to kill us off and leave Sam alone." She explained.
I thought about all the times when we were younger that I called him rude things and bullied him. It was all before we became friends. I regret it all and he knew that. I apologized, we all did. He seemed that he forgave us, but I guess he had this planned for awhile.
"Come on, we need to get out of here anyway and get to the police." Calum said. We followed behind him, one by one. We got to the door and Calum unlocked it. Footsteps sounded from upstairs.
"Get the door open!" I whispered. Calum pulled and pulled on the door. Finally, he got it open but the sound of a gun shot stopped us all from leaving. I stepped back from the fallen body in front of me. Alexa cried from behind me.
"Calum! Calum! Oh my god, please wake up!" She cried leaning down and shaking his dead body. I grabbed her and pulled her away. I looked up and made out Ashton. I was crying so hard, it was hard to make out anything. Alexa cried in my arms, Talia was hugging Luke as they both cried and Michael was choking on his tears.
"You asked for that." Ashton said. "Anyone else want to die?" He asked.
"You just killed your best friend!" Michael cried.
"Shut it, or you'll be next. He wasn't my friend, none of you are!" Ashton yelled. "Now I advise you to get away from the door and go to the other room."
There were no windows in the room. Only a door that locked three different times. We walked over infront of him as he held the gun he shot Calum with moments later behind us. I sat down on the floor and Michael sat beside me. He had a large bruise on his temple from getting hit earlier.
"Don't even think about trying to escape this time because I'll kill you all without any second thoughts."
Ashton walked back upstairs and left us alone to await our death.
