Ashton's POV
I walked back up the stairs, not giving a shit that I just killed someone else. They all deserved the pain they're going through. I know Sam will understand when I tell her once they're all gone. Luke fucked up my order, which made me pissed I could have just shot him right in front of everyone. Talia was supposed to die after Calum. Luke was supposed to be before Michael.
I wasn't sure where Sam retreated to, probably back up to the closet. I went up there and she wasn't there. I rolled my eyes and heard shuffling in the bathroom. I opened the door and saw her pacing back and forth in the bathroom.
"Sam? Why didn't you lock the door? Someone is still in here." I told her, shutting the door behind me and locking it. She pulled me into a tight hug and cried into my chest. I rubbed circles around her back and let her cry.
"We're going to die, Ashton. We're going to die." She kept repeating those words over and over again. I wish I could tell her that we won't; I know we won't. But I couldn't, not yet.
"I'm sorry." I told her.
"Why are you apologizing?" She asked, looking at me.
"If I would've known this would happen, I wouldn't of suggested coming here." I told her.
"It's not your fault, don't blame this on yourself." She reasured me. I looked down into her beautiful blue eyes and brushed a piece of fallen hair behind her ears.
"We'll make it out of here." I promised. She nodded and looked up at me. I leaned down and kissed her. She kissed me back. I moved my hands up to her face and pulled her closer. She pulled away and smiled.
"Do you know how long I've waited for you to do that?" She asked. I laughed slightly and pecked her lips.
"I'm sorry, I know the time is inappropriate but I needed to do that." I explained.
"It's alright, at least it happened, finally." She smiled. There was a noise that came from the basement and I silently cursed.
"Ashton." Sam said, looking at me with a horrified expression. I unlocked the door and ran downstairs quickly so she couldn't keep up with me. I opened the door to the basement door and took the gun out of my back pocket.
I unlocked the door to the room everyone was in and saw Liz untieing Talia.
"And where the fuck did you think you'd be going?" I asked Liz and aiming the gun at her head. She stood up and put her hands up in defense.
"Ashton-."
"Save it." I said and cut her off with a bullet to the head. Alexa screamed and Michael started to cry. Talia kept silent.
"You fucking bastard." Michael said. I pointed the gun at him and was ready to shoot but Talia spoke up.
"Don't do it Ashton. You don't have to do this." She cried.
"Shut the fuck up before I kill you." I told her.
"Ashton, really, you don't have to. We can all put this behind us." She said.
"We all know that isn't going to happen." I stated.
"What did you do with Luke?" She whispered.
"I killed him, what else would I have done?" I snapped. "And you're next." I took the gun and shot right between Talia's eyes. "Four down, two to go." I smirked and walked back up the stairs.
I found Sam sitting in the closet once again. She looked up at me with tears in her eyes.
"Where did that gun shot come from?" She asked.
"I don't know, I'm sorry. I tried to find where the noise was coming from but I couldn't. The next thing I know is that I hear a gunshot. It sounded close to the kitchen." I told her.
"Do you think the intruder is in the basement? It's right near the kitchen. What if this person has them hostage in the basement?" She cried.
"I don't know, it's a possibilty. We need to stay as far away as possible from the basement if that's the case. He may not know we're in here." I said. She nodded and stood up and kissed me.
"This isn't the night I wanted." She told me.
"I know it isn't, no one wanted this."
