dandelion to infinity

every year, in spring
cherry petals let themselves fall;
break their wrinkled chains
imprisoned to the earth.

inexorable ticking
taking my breath away,
they collect cruel tears
on a face full of scars.

i blow
and the drop are released,
join the orange sky
lulled by a wind
that runs towards infinity.

an infinity that will never see
an infinity full of hope,
an endlessly lonely scream.
Will my voice reach you
dear, missing friends?
