His silent snores haunted me. So did the ghosts that may or may not have been in this room. I was secured to his chest in a way that forced me to stay in that very position. The odd part was he wasn't even holding me that tightly. The room was quiet and so was the rest of the house. The night was growing older but not old enough to submit to the suns morning light yet. I had to go. He's saved me from the grasp of the devil and I saved him from the punishment of his father yet sent him through Hell at the same time. I owed him so much. I owed him more than just the crown. I probably owed him my life to him. I wanted to stay in the warmth and safety of his arms but it wasn't always gonna work that way so i might as well get used to it now. I slip out of his arms and open the door. It looked beautiful here. I loved it more than anything, but it wasn't my mission. I crept my way to the loudest room, as in loud with snoring if you were wondering. But there it was. The crown right next to his dad's bed sitting there like a glass of water. The sun was starting to break, one ray slipped passed the window and bounced it's way off of the crown shining in the king's eyes. He grunted and my mouth dropped snatching the crown off of the table than rushing out of the room knocking into someone.
"Care to dance my dear lady?" I look up thinking I saw Jimin, but it was only his brother. I shake my head and attempt to run back to our room but he grabs my arm making me unexpectedly jerk forward and drop the crown. His eyes widen as it clangs on the floor ringing through the mansion. He was frozen but I was a fast thinker so i jerked out of his grip ran to the crown and grabbed it.
"STOP AT ONCE!" A loud voice boomed scaring me half to death but not enough to make me drop it again. Jimin was right there. All I had to do was run, but the one thing that could freeze me did. I heard a thump behind me, towards his room. I looked in that very direction. He had been thrown on the ground by that servant that tormented me all this time.
"Stop everyone stop! Or I will put this on!" I threaten letting the crown hover over my head. Everyone stops dead in their tracks as I back up unintentionally to the thrown.
"Don't do it! Give it to me baby girl. I don't want to hurt you I just want to be the new king. I'll let you free if you give me the crown. Just please don't put it on," his brother says easing towards me. I take another step back.
"You say that like I'm an idiot! I'm not by the way!" He eases towards me again and I place it on my head walking forcefully towards him. He backs up soon bowing to me. The servant brings Jimin to me and he's struggling in his grip. The last queen walks up to me.
"That boy is no good. You keep him and you're likely never to be heard again. Ever again. Let him be the first you get rid of and no one else," The hostile servant drags Jimin to me. I looked at them not understanding why Jimin wasn't pleading for them to stop. It made no sense to me, there was no way he actually trusted me that much. But it seemed he did. His eyes were painted with fear and he had his head leaned back in the oddest of ways. It was like he pulled it back to despise someone but with a feared expression. Than i realized where the servants hand was. There was a pressure point and the servants finger was laid on that very spot pushing till it made him bleed.
"Unhand him," they all look at me in awe
"But queen, didn't you hear my warning?" I sharply turn to her with a snarl smeared across my face.
"And didn't you hear my order!?" She backs up and the servant let's him go, I watch as his expression turns to nothing and he falls to the ground. I look at him confused as to why he wasn't moving. My hands shake and I look at his motionless body slowly moving towards him. His face was pale. So pale it would make a ghost look like it was living. I drop in front of him shaking his motionless body getting nothing but a blink and a nod. I would have taken anything at that point but it was the last straw. I hadn't even been there more than a few days but I didn't need to too know how they tormented his poor self. I started to weep overwhelmed by his hopefully just unconscious self. I didn't weep I sobbed, I could do anything but sob. The crown slipped off of my head and landed on his chest silently. I grabbed his hand still sobbing and he squeezed it. I wanted to open my eyes but the sadness took me over. I did nothing but sit and cry. The tears acted as his hand stroking my face slowly than slipping away leaving traces of themselves all over. Something was than placed on my head. I look around wildly but no one was near me, than I look down.
"Please don't cry," his faint whisper was all I needed to realize he was okay. Although I couldn't wrap my mind around it I had realized that I was the Queen. The King's crown had a missing jewel and different pattern but this one, this one had all it's jewels yet a different pattern. It was only a race against time to get the true crown to its rightful owner. I lay Jimin down than sprint unexpectedly back to the room I had found this crown in. There was nothing there. The room was empty with messed up sheets. The door slams closed behind me and I scream running to it trying my best to open it. Nothing happened. I looked around some more finding a hammer. It was odd there was a hammer in here but Why not give it a go. I used it to slam the door knob off of the door. The fine glass knob shattered into a million pieces. At least it seemed that way it didn't really matter to me though, I rammed the door and it flew open. I looked around seeing another open door. One out of many but it pulled me towards it. I had no clue where the others were and in all honesty that was not a good thing.
"Heads up!" someone shouts making me flinch just in time. Blood started to drip from my face making me look down to see an arrow. I run to that door hearing Jimin's voice but much louder this time.
"The door with the horseshoe!" I slide to a stop seeing a lotus painted on that door than sprint down the hall looking left and right, left and right, left and right till something shone so brightly in my eyes I could barely see anymore. I did my best to look at it seeing a horseshoe. It was embedded with all types of different gems. I run into the room finding his brother. He holds a bow loaded with an arrow pointing in my direction.
"Hand it over," his voice was shaky, full of regret and fear. Something no one wanted to have to live with. Something no one ever wanted to deal with. I creep closer with my hands out in front of me showing him that I was harmless. A tear slides down his cheek at the same rate his bow lowers
"I won't hurt you," he just nods gesturing to a room down the hall. I quickly travel down it and find the crown. It was looking down on me just like the king did. I jump and grab it off of the pedestal being grabbed soon after.
