We came to a stop at a lake, I was sobbing purely from the frustration of knowing I was simply just being ignored. I start kicking pebbles left and right while the white shire just stares at me.
"I mean seriously. How is such a foolish man ready for a kingdom if he can't even take care of his girlfriend? I have handed all my trust to him, only for him to take it and self destruct the second he lays a hand on it!" The mare knickers (small horse noise) as if she was speaking to me. Saying I was taking it too personal and I huff. "I honestly don't know why I agreed to be in such terms with him. He bought me because my parents needed the money. I mean, at least I got Arrow back but this is just utterly baffling. I have never wanted to do something more destructive in my life! I have the urge to physically break something! You know?" She nickers again at me and stands up from her laying down position and comes closer while I pace around the pond. I turn around in the same line I've been traveling for the millionth time and run into the mare. I back up a little bit and look into her deep blue eyes. I put my hand out and tried to rub her muzzle. Of course she pulls away but flinches at the sound of a skipping stone, "-calm down, it's probably something I kicked," I say being a little skittish myself. Then she whinnies and turns taking off in a full Gallop away leaving me behind. I beg her to come back and try to chase after her but jam my foot in a pile of stones only to twist it. I fall screaming in pain as the sound of her four hooves fade away along with her figure behind the bushes.
"Are you all right?" I hear a deep voice say. I look around not seeing anyone but the bushes that made for some good hiding… if there were small animals and baby deer of course. Nothing big enough to hide a human though.
"I'm losing my mind, Jimin's definitely not going to want me after this."
No… I'm an actual person, that's here!" I look around some more and see a foot then a pair of brown eyes poking out from behind a bush. My heart races while my eyes go wide. and I try to pull my trembling body further away while he puts his hands out slowly in a non threatening way motion.
"Why are you in there, what could another human have to gain being so far away from civilization?" I asked the figure and put my hand on something that felt a little like silk cloth. I look to the side of me and see pants… Then something shiny in the midst of the rocks. That's when I shriek throwing the garment in his direction. "You were watching me and listening in on my conflicts while your body was as bare as a hairless cat?! How sick do you have to be t-,"
"N-N-No no no! It isn't like that in the slightest. I know-knew you were taken… not kidnapped I mean. Not single long before you came to the shimmering pond… not that that matters but I wasn't here to watch you! The whole entire empire knew about you and the now king Park since the beginning! Well… at least the other kings did," I stare at him very puzzled by his words. He has barely left my sight, how in the world could he have possibly met up with the other kings of the empi-what empire. None of this was making sense to me. I look up at the person confused and breath lightly and look at him.
"What do you mean empire? A-and how does a simpleton know about what the kings had conversed last?" He shuffles into his pants and stands up out of the bushes while brushing himself off. His soggy hair was a charming hazelnut color with water making it flat as it drained itself and dripped down his face, his body was muscular with a smooth enticing tan.
"I am king Jung Hoseok. But you can call me Hoseok if you'd like. And this empire is not technically an empire but we call it so. It's the empire of the 7 kings," my heart thinks like a bunny facing off against an enemy, I do my best to pull my legs under me to lift myself up to now at him. Or atleast apologize to the king that is standing before me, yet my ankle falls short and sends a fist clenching pain through my ankle and spreads to my foot while going right back up to the rest of my leg at the same time. I'm sure you could hear my cries from a mile away. I fall back to the ground feeling the one of the few actual stones jab my spine. I arch my back and hear the king's audible wince. I had made nothing less than an utter embarrassment of myself, a clowning mockery and he was there to watch the show.
"Forgive me my-," he hushes me and picks my weak figure up.
"there is no need for apologies from anyone but me. I was eavesdropping and I shouldn't have been, let me find my boat and we can talk there. As we sail of course," he says in a calm voice bending down and shoveling tons of little rocks and pebbles out of the way and revealing the shiny thing I had seen earlier. A yellow diamond encrusted ring like crown. Then his legs hoisted himself right back up as he started his journey around the pond.I felt helpless, in his arms. But at the same time there was such an overwhelming sense of security, he didn't seem like a stranger with such a bright smile. He put something on my chest and chuckles, but I couldn't see due to the sun shining in my eyes. I looked down at the crown he placed there and back up at him.
"Are you mad? Why trust me with such an exquisite object like this?!" I felt too close to this man. Something wasn't right about the way he held me so close. But at the same time it was all to right. Why?
