"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?"
I dropped the packet of chips and sat up in alarm. Carolyn never looses her cool. So when she does, you know you've seriously screwed up.
"Umm, it sort of, slipped out of my mind?" I smiled weakly.
When we reached home, the first think she asked me was why did Angie assume that I had a crush on Andy. So when I told her that it wasn't an assumption but actually the truth, she...oh well.
"Right. It slipped from your mind to tell your best friend about having a crush, but you didnt hesitate to take help from the best friend's brother. How believable,"
Suddenly, I felt like I was swimming in a pool of guilt.
"Look I'm sorry. I really am," I quickly added, when she raised her eyebrows to perform an eyeroll.
"I honestly don't know, all right? He is my first crush, and I wouldn't even have realised it if your brother hadn't told me. He's helping me figure out love, kinda,"
Carolyn nodded.
However, I just didn't feel convinced. My mind was like, "Andrew?!" A part of me felt that this was superficial. But I wasn't letting myself run away from the one form of emotion I had finally felt after so long.
"If you still want to be pissed at me, I understand. But if you wanna give your best friend a chance...well, there's a new Asian restaurant nearby, I've heard they serve excellent dishes," I said, hopefully.
Carolyn gave me a bright, one of a kind, Carolyn-ish smile.
"You just found the way to my heart," she said, dramatically.
I let out a hearty laugh.
"That just made my day and dinner," Carolyn said. "No more hiding secrets, okay?"
I smiled. "Okay."
Carolyn then gave me a sad look.
"You know, I thought you and Mark would end up together." She said thoughtfully.
I choked on my spit. "What?"
She faced me.
"You know. The 'Stark' ship,"
She then went to her dorm, leaving me all confused.
She reminds of Mark a lot, in a feminine way.
Speaking of Mark, I haven't properly spoken to him all day long.
