(Third P.O.V)

As you two walked through the ruins, side by side, a defeating silence rang through both of your ears. This silence was slowly killing Toriel, so she decided to strike up a random conversation. "So, my child, what's your name?" She asked. "O-Oh, my na-name? It's Y-Y/N!" You stuttered. You were so deep in your thoughts that when she struck up the conversation, you got startled fo a split second.

"O-Oh, my na-name? It's Y-Y/N!" You stuttered. The only time you stutter is when you try to speak before you thought of a response for the person saying something. That's what you just did, so you stuttered. "Ah. What a beautiful name, Y/N!" She commented. You attempted to not blush, but ended up failing miserably. Turning your head the other way, you mumbled a little thanks. This made Toriel chuckle a bit. You stopped blushing and turned your head back around, focusing on the path in front of you.

(Your P.O.V)

I lied down in a comfortable thing Toriel calls a 'bed.' I swear, these Earth words are very weird, just like everything on itm That's why I like it! I lied in the comfortable 'bed,' getting ready to go to.... uh.... what do they ca- Oh yeah! Sleep! I lied in my bed, getting ready to go to sleep until I heard a small voice. It sounded very familiar. "Hey you! Yeah you! Look at me!" The small, familiar voice whispered harshly. Lazily turning around in my bed, I look at the source of the small, familiar voice. It was... Flowey!

I jolted up, not expecting to see him here. I instantly coward in fear. "Don't hurt me!" I whimpered. "Oh, shut up you big crybaby," he groaned. "I've came here to tell you that you have to leave this place to continue your journey." He said. My eyes became wide ass saucers. Why does he want me to leave? "Hm... Why should I? I like it here. I actually have someone to take care of me." I protested. I paused for a while before I said, "Wait, is this a trap? Do want me to leave so you could kill me without Toriel getting in the way? Well, trap or not, I'm not leaving here!" I protested again.

Flowey looked annoyed. Scarily annoyed. I assumed he was trying to hold himself back from either attacking me or yelling at me. He inhaled and replied, "Fine. If you wanna be stubborn, go ahead. Suit yourself." He disappeared in a blink of an eye. I shook my head as I lied back down, getting ready to go back to sleep, again. "Hey, hey wake up!!" a little voice whispered.

I groaned as I opened my eyes partly and turned my head around. All I saw was a tan, brown and green blur, with a hint of pink and yellow. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I looked at it again and saw a girl floating next to me. She had a wide smile plastered on her face. "Uh... hey?" I answered.

(Chara's P.O.V)

"Uh... hey?" She answered. Haha, finally! I've been waiting hours for her to wake up! "Yes, you're finally awake! I've been waiting for just about forever for you to wake up!" I exclaimed in joy.

"Are you telling me that you were... uh... 'stalking' me?"

"Well, uh... Heh- Oh! I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Chara. What's your name?" She asked. "It's Y/N... uh, nice to meet you?" She replied. Y/N seemed uneasy about this. She should get used to it. Uneasiness is the first thing she's gonna be feeling once she steps foot out of these ruins. "Y/N, could you do me a favor?" I asked. She nodded her head.

I took a deep breath, and said, "Leave the ruins. Please." She tensed up for a second, then calmed down. "No," replied Y/N. God, why is she so blunt all of the sudden? Welp, it's time for plan B. I got on my knees and begged, "Oh Y/N, please! The monsters need you! You can help free us from this miserable place!"

From what it seems like, my words are getting to her. "But... if I leave, Toriel will be lonely!" Y/N debated. "Y/N, please do this!" I begged, once more. She sighed in defeat and said, "Fine, I'll go." I pumped my fists in the air victoriously. I finally got it through her mind! I saw her staring somewhere at something. I turn around to see what she was looking at. It was Toriel's delicious Butterscotch pie! I haven't seen nor ate that in a while!

"Do you know what that is?" Y/N questioned. "Yeah," I responded "It's food. Specifically, it's Toriel's butterscotch pie. Are you gonna eat it?"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Y/N's P.O.V)

I looked at Chara like she was crazy. How do I "eat" something? What's eating anyway? "Don't tell me you know what 'eating' is..." Chara said. I shook my head. I never even hear of 'eating.' "Should I explain what eating is? Wait are you even human?" She asked. Instead of answering, I got up, stretched a bit and responded with, "I'd rather not talk about it right now. Let's just go and get it over with."

We walked out of the room, completely forgetting about the Butterscotch Pie and the whole 'are you a human' issue. Chara stood in the doorway, watching as I boldly made my way over to Toriel. She didn't notice my presence until I cleared my throat, catching her attention. She looked up at me and said, "Oh! You're up already, I see. Um, I want you to know how glad I am to have someone here." She said. I gave her large smile, trying to hold back tears. Am I really gonna do this?

"There are so many old book I would like to share..." I kind of went into a daze as Toriel rambled about thing I didn't understand. It took me a while before I could regain attention and listen to what she was saying "...Still. I am glad to have you living here. Oh, did you want something? What is it?"  It took me a second to remember what I came down here for. I took a deep breath and asked...

"When can I go 'home'?"

The sudden respond almost made Toriel drop the book she was holding. "What?" She asked. "This... This is your home now! Um... would you like to hear about a book I'm reading? It's called '72 uses for Snails'. How about it?" She said, trying to cover up the fact that you wanted to leave. The 'book' seemed pretty interesting, but you just wanted to get this thing over with. "How do I exit the ruins?" I questioned.

I'd rather get shattered than do this. Tears threaten to spill, but I kept it in, staying strong. She got up from her seat. "I have to do something." She said. Toriel insisted me to stay here before she walked off. Instead of obeying her orders, I followed her into what she called 'the basement.' She seemed to know my presence, because as I followed her, she stopped walking. She deeply inhaled before saying:

"You wish to know how to return 'home', do you not? Ahead of us lies the end of the ruins. A one-way exit to the rest of the underground. I am going to destroy it. No one will ever be able to leave again. Now be a good child and go upstairs."

I didn't listen. I followed her as she continued walking towards the exit. She stopped once more, still knowing that I was following her and disobeying her orders. "Every human that falls down here meets the same fate. I have seen it again and again. They come. They leave. They die. You naive child... if you leave the ruins... they, ASGORE..... will kill you. I am only protecting you. Do you understand? Go to your room." She demanded. Even though the pain in my chest was growing larger by the minute, I continued following her. I was determined to leave and save the monsters from what Chara calls 'this miserable place.'

I felt Chara's presence, even though she wasn't visible. Did she turn invisible? Was she not there? Those questions stayed on my mind until I heard Toriel speak once more. "Do not try to stop me. This is your final warning." She warned. I kept following her, even though I was in great pain from that growing knot of regret in my stomach. I've never felt this before... and I don't like it.

Toriel turned towards me. She gave me a cold stare. I wanted to drop to my knees and beg her to forgive my disobedient actions, but I didn't. "You want to leave so badly? Hmph." She scoffed. "You are just like the others. There is only one solution to this. Prove yourself. Prove to me you are strong enough to survive." Toriel demanded.

Right after that, we went into battle. Toriel noticed that I didn't have a soul. She looked flabbergasted for split second before shaking her head and going into her battle stance. The only thing I could do was summon my weapon, preparing for it. It's time to test my skills with this weapon in battle. I'm sorry to say this but... the battle shall begin!
