Chapter 3: earth kills

It had been three long and exhausted days for Rowan who has been trying so hard to help Jasper with his wounds some they had found them but nothing seemed to be working so far but instead all sh was doing was simply delaying his death by a few delays, Rowan knew that she was missing something very obvious about his condition since it felt that it was staring her right in the face as she decided to place the rest of her hair that wasn't braided up in a messy ponytail to keep it from bothering her as she worked. She knew that the other delinquents were slowly losing patience with Jasper as he continued to cry out in pain despite the fact that everyone was trying to sleep as she tried her best to keep him quiet as well as to treat his wounds without causing him too much pain, soon Clarke joined her as she was helping her every so often having a little medical knowledge from her mom.

" hey how's he doing?" Clarke said as her and Finn joined her since they were beginning to get worried about Rowan who was so focused on helping Jasper and not looking after herself

" he's stable for now but his pulse is thready" Rowan said after checking Jasper's vitals and his wound which was slowly becoming infecting as she sat back slightly on her heels

" what about you? How are you doing?" Finn said giving Clarke a side look since they both knew that Rowan looked like she was ready to pass out from sheer exhaustion and hunger

" I'm fine" Rowan said knowing that saying she was fine was such an automatic answer for her sometimes since she knew that she had to keep pushing in order to focus on helping Jasper

" come on, Rowan. Let's us ok?" Clarke said knowing that the whole camp would suffer if something happened to her since she had more experience than Clarke did in medicine

" she's right, why don't you go get some fresh air? Maybe some water, something to eat or maybe some rest" Finn said looking at her disheveled look as she had abandoned her jacket

" fine but just for a minute, I need get some clean water anyway. Just keep an eye on him and come get me if he gets worse" Rowan said as she stood up and began to head outside the ship

" hey woah, careful there.... you okay?" Bellamy said as he caught her as she started to feel dizzy as he realised that he had seen much of her over the last three days while she's worked

" yeah I'm okay, I just think the fresh air just got to me" Rowan said as Bellamy began to gently lead her over to a nearby log to allow her a minute to rest and collect herself

" when was the time you ate?" He said gently sweeping a stray piece of hair out of her face as he realised that was so focused on saving Jasper that she was losing herself in the process

" well Finn's been bring me food now and then" she said thinking about how Finn had told her about Bellamy exchanging food for people taking of their wristband as she looked down at hers

" here, have some of this and drink" Bellamy said handing her some left over meat that he had hunted earlier as he tried to hide his worry over her since he knew they were on different sides

" is this the part where you tell me I have to take off my wristband exchange for the food?" She said as she began to pick off bits of the meat and began to eat it as she looked at him

" Finn told you about that, huh?... don't worry, you're safe from me. I'm not going to hurt you or force you to take off your wristband" Bellamy said knowing he could never hurt her

" what did you do? Why are you so determined to make the Ark think we're dead?" She said turning the subject on him since she knew there had to be a reason for him doing all of this
