Chapter 10: I am become death

Things seemed to go by in a blur for Rowan as Bellamy began to snap into place as he began to order around the other delinquents as he tried his best to comfort Rowan at the same time as she continued to cry silently as she hugged Bellamy close to her as she thought about her dad being in the exodus ship as it went down in flames as Bellamy began to organise a team to go and search the remains of the ship in case of any survivors or anything that they could use, Bellamy was surprised that Rowan was the first one to volunteer to go to the crash site to check it out despite all of his objects about her going since neither of them knowing how bad the crash site would be. Rowan grabbed her leather jacket before joining the search party as they headed towards the crash site as she saw that Clarke had also decided to go with them probably for the same reason that she did as they arrived at the site to see that the ship was in pieces and up in flames as the realisation hit her that no one could have survived a crash like that as she began to explore the site on her own more

" Clarke and Rowan shouldn't be out here" Finn said as he watched as the two girl got together as they aimlessly walke around the crash site almost stunned by what had happened to Terri parents

" Her mom was on the ship so was Kane, they're looking for answers. You want to help them then find me the black box, hard drives, anything that will explain why this ship crashed" Raven said knowing this was the way that she could help her sister

" hey stay sharp. Grounder retaliation for what happened on the bridge is coming, just a matter of when." Bellamy said after hearing them talking about Rowan and Clarke as he saw her walk towards them

"Can you blame them?" Finn said thinking about how they had broken the no weapons rule as he thought about how they had fired the first shot and started to shooting Stiles the Grounders

"No, I blame you." Bellamy said knowing that it was Finn that set up the meeting between the grounder princess and Clarke and Rowan putting them both in danger from being attacked

"Maybe if you didn't bring guns-" Finn said focusing all of his attention on the fact that they had brought the one thing that he had asked them not to and the one thing he hated more than anything

"If we didn't bring guns, we all would've been killed." Raven said knowing that the grounders hadn't really asked them there to discuss peace but rather to kill the only leaders that they had

" she's right, the Grounders would have attacked first if Jasper hadn't and then I'd be dead or Clarke would be" Rowan said emotionless as she joined the conversation as they all turned to her

" Why they're coming doesn't matter anymore, it's our job to be ready when they do and now we're on our own." Bellamy said gently as he looked around knowing the Ark wasn't coming

" there's nothing here that we can even use, it's just a waste" Rowan said as she wrapped her arms around herself as Bellamy realised that she was cold as he took off his jacket to give to her

" Clarke, stop!" Raven said as she noticed that Clarke was dangerously close to something dangerous catching the attention of everyone around them including Bellamy and Rowan

"Rocket fuel?" Clarke said as looked at the link liquid near her that had spilled from the rocket as she wondered why Raven had called on her as she has as she turned to see them looking at her

"Hydrazine... Highly unstable in its non solid form, if this stuff meets fire then we're all pink mist...Fire in the hole!" Raven said before testing it as she threw some fire onto the fuel causing a explosion

" well at least you warned us before exploding the area around us" Rowan said as she began to recover from the shock of the explosion as Bellamy had covered up with his body to protect her
