Clary held Livvy in her arms, Jace next to her, as they sat on a rug in the greenhouse. It had never been the same since Hodge died, but it was still beautiful. They looked at each other, memories reflecting in their eyes.
Jace leaned forward and planted a kiss on his wife's forehead. "I love you, Clary." He said. "I love you so much. And I love this baby we've brought into being."
"I love you too," Clary whispered. "And look, so does Livvy." Indeed, Livvy could now crawl and was making her way slowly but surely onto her father's lap.
Jace smiled and picked up his baby. "I love you, Livia Fairchild." He said, rubbing noses gently with Livvy. She giggled.
Clary snuggled closer and leant against Jace, smiling. Jace put an arm around her. "You know," Jace said quietly, almost reverently, "I would do it all again." Clary straightened, looking into his eyes. "I would do all of it again to be here, in this moment, with you and Livvy, and without a worry that somewhere Alec or Izzy or Simon or someone else who we love is dying, or captured."
"I'd do it all again too, Jace," Clary told her husband, stroking his cheek. "But we don't have to. We're safe. And yes, tomorrow we have to go demon hunting, but that's just everyday life. The bad is over, Jace. The bad is finally over." She planted a kiss on his cheek, and on Livvy's, and snuggled back against him. "We don't have to worry any more, Jace.
"All is right in the world."
