What if?
What if after Edward's confession to Heaven, all flyers abandoned the MayWard LT?
What if Heaven chose Edward over Paolo?
What if Edward got evicted early and got paired with Heaven in the outside world?
What if a lot of people supported their LT?
What if?
After Heaven voluntary exited PBB, Edward was so bummed that he became rude to the other housemates.
He deliberately ignored them and chose to stay alone while reading his book.
No matter what amount of persuasion that the other housemates did, he ignored it. He just wants to go home and be done with his stay in PBB.
Maymay didn't know what to do anymore.
As his so-called Twinnie she felt his frustration.
She advised the other housemates to just let Edward be for now.
She hoped that soon he'd realize that they were still there for him.
Nomination night came and it resulted with Edward getting the highest number of nominations.
And because a lot of the flyers abandoned them, he eventually got evicted.
Which was totally fine with him because he didn't want to stay in PBB anymore.
Surprisingly, after he got evicted a lot of offers poured in for him.
But a lot were offers for him and Heaven as a love team. Which surprised him but at the same time he got excited about it.
Star Magic immediately signed him and launched him and Heaven as a love team called EdVen.
He can sense hesitation from his parents regarding this LT which baffled him but they still allowed him to be paired with Heaven. They allow him to make decisions for himself in regards to what he wants to do. And he doesn't know why but he can sense that they're not really into Heaven but they're civil and polite to her.
One time, he accidentally overheard his parents talking.
"But Dad, he chose her! It's not like we can force him to choose Ma..."
She didn't finish what she was saying when she saw me.
"Mom? Did I interrupt anything?"
"Nothing son. Your mom and I were just discussing something."
His Daddy Kevin answered wearily.
"Anything I need to know?" he curiously asked.
His mom started to say something but his dad stopped her.
"No need to concern yourself with it." His father said firmly.
He shrugged his shoulders.
"Okay, if you say so."
He turned to leave but remembered that he came to ask his mom for his phone.
"Ah mom, where's my cell?"
His mom handed it to him.
"Thanks mom!" and then he went to his room.
He's excited to check his social media accounts. Since he got out of PBB he's been swamped with tv guestings and mall shows that he hasn't had the chance to check it.
He opened his Twitter account and was surprised to see a lot of notifs.
He didn't bother checking but instead he immediately searched for Heaven's Twitter account and followed her.
He doesn't know what got into him but he typed #EdVen in the search box.
He decided to check the tweets.
He's curious about what people are saying regarding their LT.
He noticed something in the related searches.
"MayWard? Flyers? What's that?"
He even saw Maymay's name there.
He clicked the #MayWard.
"Woah!"
Apparently, #MayWard is what their fans collectively call him and Maymay's tandem.
Their supporters call themselves flyers because of their task that had them don a pilot and stewardess outfit.
He smiled at the memory. It was the time when he and Maymay were still very close.
But somehow when he confessed that he liked Heaven, he and Maymay slowly drifted apart.
But because he was too happy with Heaven he didn't notice that Maymay was starting to avoid him.
He saw a link posted by a certain MayWard Italy account and clicked it. He got redirected to a YouTube account. He played the video and watched.
It was a video of him and Maymay's moments together inside PBB. From the very first night he came in and saw Maymay washing the dishes in the kitchen.
He couldn't help but smile while watching the video.
He read some of the comments and saw that a lot of people said that he and Maymay had chemistry.
He forgot to turn off the auto play so it started playing the next vid.
Same as the first one the comments kept talking about how they had chemistry.
He was totally engrossed with what he was watching that he didn't notice the time.
He heard a knock on the door.
"Anak?"
"Yes mom!"
"It's dinner time! Aren't you hungry?"
He glanced at the clock and sees that it's already past 8.
He put his phone down and got out of his room.
"Sorry mom. I didn't notice the time."
"It's okay! What were you doing anyway?"
"Checking my social media accounts."
"Oh!"
"Did you know mom that Maymay and I have supporters shipping us? They call us MayWard! They call themselves flyers!" He was smiling while he was telling this to his mom.
His mom looked away.
"Really son?" she sounded so sad while asking.
They were already at the dinner table.
He turned to his father.
"Dad, did you know that I have a love team with Maymay?"
Surprise was clearly written on his dad's face.
"Imagine that! Me and Maymay as a love team! Who would've thought!"
"Imagine that." says his dad.
"Anyway, I'm glad the management paired me with Heaven."
He glanced at his mom.
"Was that anger I saw in her eyes?" he thought.
His parents were curiously silent after what he said.
They ate their dinner in silence.
He decided to continue checking his account after dinner.
He continued checking the #MayWard.
He saw a lot of tweets bashing Maymay.
Mostly from EdVen shippers saying she's not worthy of being paired with Edward because she's ugly, poor, older than him etc etc.
He got angrier and angrier the more he read the tweets.
He came across a video where Maymay asked Heaven who she liked more between him and Marco.
"Wait! Is this the reason why she started avoiding me?"
There was another video of his confession to Heaven from an EdVen fan account.
It read... "Iyak #MayWard flyers! Bumagsak na ang eroplano nyo! Sa amin na si Edo! #Ayt"
He read the tweets from flyers and shocked to learn that they gave up on him and Maymay.
Another tweet read... "Tama yan magJapayuki ka na lang katulad ng Nanay mo! #manamanalang"
"What the heck?!? What are they talking about?"
He checked PBB's official Twitter account and there he read it....
"Hanggang sa muli Maymay! Sana ay maging masaya ka sa bagong yugto ng iyong buhay na tatahakin."
"What does it mean?"
He got up and looked for his mom.
"Mom? Did you know that Maymay did a VE and went to Japan?"
His mom looked shocked.
"How did you know son?"
"Wait! You knew?"
She reluctantly nodded.
"But why didn't you tell me?"
"It was what she wanted."
"Why?!?"
Nagdesisyon si Maymay na magvoluntary exit pagkagaling nila sa burol ng kanyang lolo.
Sobrang lungkot nya dahil hindi nya na matutupad ang pangako dito. Ang isa pang nakakapagpabigat sa nararamdaman nya ay ang hindi na nila pag-uusap ni Edward.
Habang nasa hotel sila galing Camiguin ay aksidenteng nakapanuod sya ng PBB online. Nagkataon na naiwan syang mag-isa sa kwarto dahil may inasikaso ang PBB staff na nagbabantay sa kanya.
Nagbabasa ng tweets sila Darla tungkol sa #MayWard.
"MayWard?" May nakita syang picture nila ni Edward.
"Kami ba ni Edward yun?"
"Yuck! Hindi sila bagay ni Edo noh! Ang gwapo bagay sa maganda hindi sa katulad ni Temay na nuknukan ng chaka!"
At kung anu-ano pang sinasabi nila. Sa malungkot na kalagayan ni Maymay ay tumatak sa isipan nya yun.
"Tama sila! Mas bagay si Dwardo at Ven!" ang nasa isip nya.
Pagkabalik ng PBB house ay hindi na sila lalo nagkakausap ni Edward. Naging bugnutin kasi ito simula ng makalabas si Heaven. Hanggang sa tuluyan na ngang naevict ang binata.
May mga nagtatanggol din naman sa kanya at nagsasabing bagay sila ni Edward. Yun yung mga flyers. Pero karamihan sa kanila ay nawala ng umamin si Edward kay Heaven. Nadismaya ang mga ito sa ginawa ng binata.
Dahil kumonti ang supporters nila ay nagdesisyon ang management na ipareha si Edward kay Heaven pagkalabas nito.
Hindi alam ni Maymay pero pakiramdam nya ay muli na naman syang iniwan.
Pagkatapos nyang magVE ay pinagstay muna sya sa isang hotel ng PBB. Nagulat naman sya sa pagdalaw ng magulang ni Edward sa kanya.
Nagpasalamat ang mga ito sa kanya dahil sa pag-alalay nya kay Edward sa PBB.
"Kumusta ka na Maymay?" ang mama ni Edward.
"Okay lang naman po ako." at pilit syang ngumiti dito.
Hindi nya alam pero magaan ang pakiramdam nya sa mga ito.
"Can we help you with anything? And I mean anything even financial help if you want." ang papa ni Edward.
Napaisip sya at doon nya naisip na hingin ang tulong ng mga ito na makapunta sya sa Japan.
Kinapalan na talaga nya ang mukha nya para makaalis na sya ng bansa. Gusto nyang makapagsimula ng panibagong buhay.
"What about your career iha? Hindi ka ba mag-aartista?"
Naalala na naman nya ang sinabi ng mga fans ng ibang housemates.
"Imposible naman po yun! Sino ba naman po ang kukuha sa itsura kong ito? Kahit nga po siguro alalay hindi ako papasa."
"What about MayWard?" at nagulat sya ng banggitin ito ng ama ni Edward.
"Wala pong ganun! EdVen lang po ang bagay!" at kunwari pa syang tumawa.
"Mukha po bang pangLab tim tong itsura nato!" at nagwacky pa sya.
"Wag mong laitin ang sarili mo Maymay. Maganda ka!"
"Salamat po Ma'am Cathy pero hindi po nun mababago ang katotohanan na EdVen ang magkalove team at si Heaven ang gusto ni Edward." ang malungkot nyang sabi.
"I know my son! And I know that he is just confused. I know that he likes you!"
Mapait na ngumiti si Maymay.
"Sir Kevin joker po pala kayo?!?"
"Tama ang asawa ko Maymay. Simula umpisa ay nanunuod na kami ng PBB at nararamdaman namin na may gusto sya sayo. Di ba nga sinabihan ka pa nya ng I love you?"
Nagulat naman si Maymay sa sinabi nito.
"Paano nyo po nalaman yon?"
"Sabi nga sayo na sinubaybayan namin si Edward."
"Pero kay Heaven po sya nagtapat."
"He's just confused! Believe me!"
"Can't you stay until he sorts out his feelings?"
"Masaya na po sya sa LT nila ni Heaven kaya hindi po ako dapat mang-gulo at wala rin po akong karapatan manggulo."
"Pero ikaw ang gusto namin para kay Edward!"
"Pero hindi po ako ang gusto ni Edward para sa kanya."
After a few months....
Nanunuod si Maymay sa YouTube ng TWBA. Guest ang EdVen.
Napansin sya ng kanyang ina.
"Ano ba yang pinapanood mo anak?"
Tinuro nya si Edward sa screen.
"Ang saya nya Ma ano?" Nakangiti sya habang unti-unting tumutulo ang luha sa mga mata nya.
After his TWBA interview with Heaven, he went straight to their car.
He got his phone and looked at his wallpaper.
"I miss you."
