Chapter#3 Sesshomaru's New Servant

Rin's Pov

"Jaken look! Lord Sesshomaru has returned!"

I yelled happily as I jumped up and down, greeting him.

"Lord Sesshomaru! We are joyous for your safe return! Did you find what it is you were looking....is that a human girl!?"

Jaken was just as shocked as I was.

"Rin. Jaken. Take care of this woman."

Master Sesshomaru looked toward the sky with determind eyes. As I looked harder I noticed a swarm of demon bugs.

"Lord Sesshomaru! Those are Naraku's posionious bugs! Please be careful my Lord!"

Jaken yelled as Master Sesshomaru sprang into the air using his powers to slice the bugs in half.

I knew he was going to be ok so I walked over to the woman.

"Jaken, who do you think this pretty woman is? Could she be Master Sesshomaru's friend?"

Jaken walked over to me and the woman.

"I do not believe my Lord has ever mentioned this woman. Maybe he kidnapped her to serve him. She does look a bit similar to that half demon Inuyasha's woman."

Jaken's statement got me thinking.

"Do you think that this woman and Kagome are related?"

Jaken shrugged his shoulders.

"Let's wait for Lord Sesshomaru to explain who this woman is."

I nodded as I looked back up at Master Sesshomaru who was almost finished with defeating the demon bugs.

Sesshomaru's Pov

I returned to Jaken and Rin once my short battle with Naraku's demon bugs was over.

I have a feeling that Naraku is also interested in this woman as well. She might have some special powers like Kagome and I intend to find out.

"Lord Sesshomaru!"

Jaken ran to my side as always looking pleased with my return. Rin also greeted me with a smile.

I looked toward the woman who was now fully awake. Normally a human would look shy away in fear of me but instead she wore a curious expression as her eyes stared at me in wonder.

"Mayumi."

She jumped at the sound of her name being called by me.

"How do you know my name?"

She asked fearlessly.

"If you follow me, I will keep you protected but if you chooose to part ways you will surely die.

My words seemed to strike fear in her. So much fear that she stood up quickly running to my side.

"Can you take me home? I'm not from this time. I came here by accident and...Kagome! Where is Kagome and her friends!?"

It's best if I lied to her.

"I carried you to safety. Some demons appeared so Kagome put you in my care."

With this she won't question my motives. However she seemed to be filled with doubt. She must not be so gullible as Inuyasha's human. I guess I should just treat her as a prisoner.

"Lord Sesshomaru, who is this woman?"

Ignoring Jaken's question I lifted Mayumi in my arms, and threw her over my shoulder.

"Hey! What are you doing!? Let go of me you creep! Where is Kagome!? Where are you taking me!?"

"Silence wench."

"WENCH!?"

She struggled as she banged pathetically against my back.

"Would you rather me leave you behind?"

She quickly stopped and sighed heavily.

"What have I gotten myself into?"

I should be asking the same question. Who is this woman that even Naraku went out of his way to pay a visit?

"So will this human girl be joining us now master?" (Jaken)

"Yes. Make sure to serve her as you serve me Jaken."

"W-WHAT!? BUT MY LORD!"

I narrowed my eyes at Jaken.

"Are you going against my wishes Jaken?"

Jaken dropped to the ground bowing several times.

"O-of course not my Lord! I will whole-heartedly serve this woman as I serve you! I swear it my Lord!"

"Very well, let's be off. We need to find a place to hide. More demons are approaching."

"Yes my Lord! Rin! Come! We are off!"

"Coming!"

This woman will be put to the test once Naraku decides to make his presence known. Maybe then I will get to see who she truly is. Until then no one must know my true intentions.
