Chapter#6 Unwanted Departure (Pt.1)

"Who are you!?"

A serious looking man who had long black hair and a creepy look in his eyes stared at me with a devilish smile.

"So you are Mayumi, the cousin of Kagome correct?"

I stayed quiet. I have no idea who this man is or what he wanted with me. I just really wished Sesshomaru was here but somewhere deep inside I forced myself to believe that he wouldn't come to save me. I'm pretty sure I was just a bother to him.

"You look troubled Mayumi, why don't you come closer so I can see if the legend is true."

I glared at him.

"What are you talking about?"

His smile only grew darker.

"You have a sacred jewel within you."

"Sacred Jewel? What is that?"

"Kanna why don't we show her?"

A young girl with long white hair and pale skin appeared, holding a mirror that was facing in my direction.

When I looked into it something shined where my heart is located.

"You see your heart harbors the Sacred Jewel. A jewel much stronger than the one that was in Kikyo's care."

Kikyo? Who is that? I'm so confused...

"I have no idea what your talking about and you say you want this jewel inside me. Just how do you plan on getting it?"

The mans expression grew much more darker than I could have possibly imagined. He can't be human. Is he like Lord Sesshomaru?...No his presence is making me sick to my stomach.

"I plan to get the jewel by force."

"....."

My heart sank as the man reached out towards me. I felt chills down my spine when his human form transformed into something indescribable.

"Not so fast Naraku!"

Someone busted through the wall and landed in front of me.

"Hey! Your Kagome's boyfriend, Inuyasha!"

Inuyasha smirked at me and then turned his attention to the man he called Naraku.

"Get ready to die Naraku!"

Inuyasha lunged at Naraku with his sword that magically grew once he unsheathed it. Naraku seemed to be unphased which definitely worried me. His attention went toward someone else.

"Ahh Sesshomaru, how wonderful it is that you have also joined us. Can I assume that the two sons of Inu No Taishu (Leader of the dogs *their father*)
Have finally joined together in battle?"

"Like hell! I told you Naraku is mine! Get lost!"(Inuyasha)

I ignored the talk between everyone and quickly rushed to Sesshomaru's side. The moment I held onto his arm he looked down at me with warm eyes even though his features were neutral.
