"Hey, look at me" Akaashi said softly as he placed his hand on top of Bokuto's.
"I'm embarrassed..." the other murmured. He continued hiding his face underneath the hood of his hoodie. However, his embarrassed for the fact that he didn't manage to get another job had washed away centuries ago. He was simply hiding his red cheeks from Akaashi.
Akaashi's hand felt so soft and warm, almost like a blanket on a cold winter day. Bokuto wanted to hold it, but that would weird Akaashi out. At least that's what he thought.
"Don't be embarrassed, I understand. I told you, I'll talk to my friends at the police department, get you a place. Okay? Don't be so down" Akaashi said as he squeezed Bokuto's hand making him blush even more.
"O-Okay" he managed to say. Bokuto felt Akaashi's hand slide off, he stood up and walked to the kitchen, leaving Bokuto on the living room couch. The other exhaled deeply, how come he had no courage to tell Akaashi about his feelings?
He was always so brave, jumping into danger whenever he needed, but saying simple three words seemed like the most toughest job in the world.
"Oh, by the way, did you by any chance search for anything in my room?" Akaashi suddenly asked throwing Bokuto off.
"Huh? Oh, yeah I did. I lent you my shirt, remember? The blue one. I was searching for it, but couldn't find it" Bokuto explained, he meant no harm, but maybe Akaashi saw Bokuto's actions in a different angle.
"Oh, I see. It's in the washing machine. I got some... ketchup on it. Anyway, please refrain from peeping into my room. I'm a lawyer after all, there's information that is illegal to be disclosed to anyone but me and my client" Akaashi's voice was calm, but oddly concerning.
"Alright, sorry. Speaking of, are you still on the fraud case? I saw an article about that guy online, he seems innocent" Bokuto said as he sat down in front of Akaashi who was busy looking at his phone.
"That's because he is. The only bad thing that guy has done is not letting an old lady sit on the bus. This case isn't that hard, I'll be done in no time and maybe then we can have a boys night or something" Akaashi looked at Bokuto and flashed a warm smile.
"What, really?! That would be so great!" Bokuto exclaimed, Akaashi's words were enough to give him motivation to do stuff he had been putting off for a long time.
In the mean time, Akaashi decided to go to the police department again. Not only because of Bokuto, but simply because Suga had asked him to come. The other had been stressed for a while now, a case of some sort was making him anxious.
As Akaashi put his shoes on, he felt something heavy in his coats' pocket. He didn't even have to look at it to know what it was. His mind wandered off to the fact that Shirabu's body had not been found yet and it has been quite a few days. Not surprising, considering the alleyway he was left in was surrounded by abandoned buildings and old construction sites.
