Leroy, Julian, and Liam all got into the SUV and stopped at a fast-food restaurant to grab a bite to eat.

Julian and Leroy were starving, Liam wasn't that hungry, but he ordered a small fry, burger, and a Mountain Dew.

They pulled into a parking spot and ate in the car. Leroy was in the driver's seat, and Julian was in the passenger. Julian watched Liam, who was sitting behind him, through the rearview mirror. He could tell something was bothering him but didn't know what.

When Leroy was finished eating both of his fish sandwiches, he started the SUV and then followed a line of patrol cars down the street.

They got out of the car and walked toward the yellow tape. Leroy stepped under it, and a cop was about to stop him when Liam held out his credentials. "FBI," he said in an authoritative tone.

The officer stepped back, signaling them to enter.

Leroy handed one of the police officers Nathan's stuffed animal Tammy had gotten from the boy's parents. The officer let a canine sniff it, and then the dog yapped and pulled his handler.

Leroy went to talk to the Captain for updates while Liam and Julian were left alone.

"Wanna talk about what's bugging you?" asked Julian, "Is it, Lennie?"

Liam sighed. "No."

"What is it then?"

Liam shook his head. "This case."

"What about it?"Julian pressed.

"It's just giving me flashbacks."

"Flashbacks?"

Liam sighed. "I don't want to talk about it."

Liam walked away, wanting to be alone when the police officer with the dog shouted, "We got something!"

The three agents ran into the woods where the pooch was yapping up a storm.

Please don't be a body. Please don't be a body.

Liam thought to himself.

"A backpack," said the police officer as he put on rubber gloves and handed it to Leroy.

Liam let out a sigh of relief.

The name tag on the bag read, Nathan J Harris.

"It's the boys," said Leroy as he opened up the pack and took out the contents. "Three notebooks, a textbook, a lunch box, and a pencil pouch."

"The rest of the trail goes cold. I'm guessing the perp chucked it out the window," said the officer.

"Good boy Tod," the officer said to his dog.

Liam quietly chuckled.

Who the hell gives a dog a human name?

He quietly thought before turning away.
