Chapter 6: Giggles

"Ms. Swift?" The nurse came into the room as I blinked multiple times just to have a clearer sight. Realizing my stupidity, I don't have my glasses on.

I run my hand through the table beside me and I hear the nurse give a slight chuckle. "Would you want this Ms. Swift?" I felt her presence beside me, handing my glasses.

I smiled and put them on. "Thank you. I'm idiotically intelligent." I told her and she giggled. "You're ready to go, Ms. Swift." She informed.

"Okay, I'll just get ready." I told her and she nodded and walked out of my room.

I'm finally out of the hospital and I breathe in the smokey air of New York.

The streets are clear today with not a pap in sight so I just walked to my home. I somehow miss walking like a normal person, no one takes pictures or videos of you.

The silence feels unusual yet well deserved. I needed a break after all that's happen to me yesterday.

The silence got interrupted as I heard clattering and other noise in an empty alley to my right. I look and see a man throwing empty cans into the wall.

"Stupid life! Why do I even live!" He screamed, throwing another can from the dumpster to the wall.

"Umm, excuse me?" I asked, walking to him. He stopped and looked at me, dropping the can in hand.

As I got nearer, his face seemed familiar. "Have I seen you before? Your face, it's familiar." I started familiarizing.

"Uhh, no. Y-you mu-must've been mis-mis-taken." He stuttered. "Ah! I know you, you're that pap from yesterday, right?" I finally remembered, he saved my life.

He sighed and nodded. "Well, let me pay you then! I know you don't want cash, but will lunch sound good?" I asked.

He thought in silence for a few seconds while I give him the exact time. "Deal." He finally agreed.

"Great! I know this great place where they serve the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. Walk with me to get there?" I invited.

"Well, that's the only way." He chuckled with his thick British accent, which made me wonder; have I seen this man before?

"Deep in thought, are you?" He noticed as we were walking down the streets of New York.

"Hmm, not much." I answered. "What about?" He asked. "Well, I think that's classified. But I guess it's my turn to ask. Why are you so hot?" I asked jokingly.

"Well, why are you so hot?" He chuckled back. "Are you flirting with me?" I giggled.

"Maybe." He shrugged and puts one hand in his pocket. It was silent for awhile in our walk. It was a relaxing silence.

"So, I haven't exactly learned your name yet, what is it?" I asked and he suddenly stopped walking.

Harry's POV

She asked for my name. She freakin asked for my name! What will I say! Think Harry, think!

"Uhh, my name is Edward." I answered.

Admittedly, that was stupid to choose. It's odd for her to call me Ed. "Oh really? But, like, what's your full name? 'Cause I need something else to call you." She giggled.

"Oh! Err, it's-it's, Edward Matthew... Mayer. Not that I'm related to John Mayer or anything but... call me Matt." I stopped, knowing that I was talking too much.
