Chapter 25: 12:11

Harry's POV

"Harry, wake up." Ed says sloppily with his eyes shut. It's morning, I sense because of the birds chirping.

My head hurts as a sign of my hangover. My eyes are still shut because of sloth, and I feel the lower part of my body already on the floor.

I can't remember so much from last night, but I do know that Ed came barging into my flat to vent out his problems.

He originally planned a couple of drinks, but he started calling in a couple of our friends, making them call their friends.

It then grew into a small yet wild party.

That's all I remember, nothing steamy went on last night.

Though Ed already told me that he spilled the news to Taylor, which is somewhat bad and somewhat good.

She didn't take it so well, according to him. She even admitted that she loves him from what I heard.

Us poor lads, problematic with the same woman.

"She scheduled lunch today." Ed interrupted the morning silence.

"She what?" I asked him, shocked.

"Sorry mate, you just have to adjust to this. You'll be seeing her more now that they're in your hands. And from what I understand, you miss her." Ed says while he faces the wall and messing up his hair.

"I don't miss her, but if it's that important to see her-"

"Stop lying, Styles." Ed chuckles and stands up. "I'll see you when I can." He faces me at the doorway. "Good luck." He smiles and walks out to the hallway.

I continue to slide onto the floor and look at my alarm clock. "For the love of-" it's 11:30, which means I only have thirty more minutes to get there.

I swiftly run into the bathroom and showered for two minutes, brushed my teeth in thirty seconds, knowing that I would still have to face today's traffic.

Taylor's POV

"Reservation for Swift, please." I smile at the woman as she looks at a list. "Oh yes, Miss Swift. Here, let me show you." She smiles back and walks to my place, guiding me.

"This is your table ma'am, if you need anything, please just tell us." She informs me sweetly, "I'm fine, thank you." I smile once again as she leaves me.

The environment is open, it looks like a garden but on a building.

I breathe in the air, surprised that it's fresh for I am in the city.

I sit down and check the time, it's 12:11. He's late, Harry's late.

I sight, trying to hold in my patience as a mature woman that I am.

I rub my bump, calming Tanya and somewhat telling her that everything's okay and everything will be fine.

I look around to my right once more, enjoying my view of flowers.

"I'm sorry for being late." His thick slow voice alarms me, making me turn to my left.

I stare at the face that I hated to see after a few months, he's changed a bit, but not too much.

"It's fine. Have a seat." That's all I could say, yet I still managed to smile.

"It was a massive traffic jam that I've went through, I'm sorry if I wasted your time." He apologizes in a panicked tone.

"I understand, it's New York anyway." I say calmly, looking through the menu and avoiding his eyes.

"How's-How is, umm-uhh, h-how's your-"

"My bump? Tanya?" I finish his sentence for him, looking at his green eyes this time.

He nods in silence like a little shy school boy. "She's fine, I just hope she doesn't get stressed out as well." I look back at the menu.

"Oh." Harry says quietly, siting there. I can feel him staring, but I don't mind.

"What did you schedule me for?" The brunette changes the topic. "Isn't it obvious?" I say rather in offense.

"You'll be playing as Tanya's father, am I correct or did Sheeran just not tell you?" I say, somehow mad.

"Y-yeah." He looks down.

"A-nd I'd probably have to take care of you two forever." He continues, still looking down.

"Good that you know." I say stiffly, rubbing my bump.

"So in relation with that, I need to plan with you a couple of details." I clear my throat, "First, you'll have to live with me. No romanticizing, sleep in your room, understand?" I tell him all at once.

"Yes." He whispers looking down, barely audible, looking like a punished puppy.

"Second, since your friend left all the work to the both of us, you'd have to assist me in my needs. That includes going to my checkups, helping me in yoga classes, and staying with me when I'm giving birth." I feel like I'm being too demanding as I dictate to him his responsibilities.

Harry nods silently, holding back his lips as he tries not to frown.

"Harry, are you okay?" I asked gently as I felt sorry for the man.

"I'm sorry but I have to go." He immediately stands and jogs his way to the exit.

Harry's POV

Harry, you wimp. My own voice echoes in my brain while I was jogging to my car.

I couldn't help but quickly get in the car and slam it shut.

I also couldn't help but cry like a wee lad.

Maybe it's because of Taylor, the way she's fiercer and stronger now, and the way she's changed.

All of that happened because of me, and maybe Ed. Why do men even hurt her, she doesn't deserve that.

No man deserves to just simply touch her, because she's too good for anyone.

I was never deserving of her love, even from the first time our eyes made contact.

"I'm such an idiot!" I punch the steering wheel ad begin to cry embarrassingly more. I was always an idiot, but it was never acceptable to be an idiot to Taylor.

Maybe if I just stayed away, but that would be too idiotic for me to do because of the fact that she needs me beside her.

Maybe if I just said sorry, but she deserves way more than an apology.

Or maybe if-

My phone begins to ring, and I groan in misery.
