Chapter 28: Pain Is The Medicine.
Harry's POV
"You need it!" I say laughing, chasing Taylor to give her medicine.
"Nope!" She yells playfully as I tried to catch her but failed.
"Taylor!" I call out her name throughout the whole flat now that she's gone hiding.
Silence.
I couldn't even hear her foot steps.
"Taylor?" I call he again, now in a worried manner.
I walk up the staircase and go into her room. The bathroom light was on while I heard puking.
I quickly run to the bathroom, finding her puking her life out.
"I'm fine." She tells me weakly before I could even ask, still facing the toilet to vomit once more.
I sit down next to her and rub her back continuously as support.
"I told you to take the medicine." I laugh at her to lighten the mood up.
She finally stops and flushes, resting her back on the wall right after.
"Flu isn't working on you, huh?" I look at Taylor who was rubbing her temples with eyes closed.
She laughs slightly, "No." She says and opened her eyes to look at me.
"Tired?" I ask her, staring back. She opens up her arms instead of answering, inviting me to cuddle with her.
I crawl into her arms, feeling her ill warmth. As I attempt to rub her growing belly, Tanya suddenly kicked, causing Taylor to smile.
"I love it when she does that." She says and smiles weakly, looking at her unborn child.
She puts her hand on her bump, rubbing it. Our hands soon find each other, tangled as we both comforted Tanya.
"Harry?" She calls me and I immediately look up at her. "What is it? It there something wrong?" I ask with worry by my side again.
"It's not that," she laughs slightly again. "it's just that... are we even something? Like a couple or anything, anything besides friends." She questions, staring at me.
I pause, trying to process her question, striking me instantly.
"Do you want to be one?" I ask instead, being unsure.
She closes her eyes gently like she was in pain, but I can't tell that it's not that.
"I just need to know if I mean something in your life. Or am I just a job you have to go through? It's not that I want to romanticize this little friendly relationship we have, it's just that I need to know if you like doing this. Tell me straight Harry, are you doing this for me? Or did Ed just force you to do this?" She asks, tears forming.
"Taylor, please calm down." I tell her, still trying to think of the right answer.
"Don't tell me to calm down! Harry, tell me--" she suddenly stops and grabs a hold of her bump.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow!" She mutters in pain. "Taylor!" I rub her bump and carry her.
"It hurts Harry!" She grunts and panic controls me again.
"Uh, uh, w-wait Tay. Uh, umm, how painful is it?" I ask, trying to calm myself as well.
"IT HURTS LIKE IM GIVING BIRTH TO THE DEMON ISN'T IT OBVIOUS YOU IDIOT!" She scolds me in pain.
She's not giving birth. She's not giving birth. Hell, she's not giving birth!
"Just take me to the ER, please." She says in shortened breath.
