Jeongguk buries his nose into Taehyung's neck, sniffing in the lavender scent that he love and miss so much. Honestly, at this point, all he wants to do right now is to keep Taehyung in his embrace and kiss him to death. But both he and Taehyung needs an explanation, especially with Taehyung crying in his arms.

Taehyung was sobbing in his laps, clutching into Jeongguk's suit in despair, "Hoseok doesn't deserve this, he doesn't," he whimpers into Jeongguk's ears and all Jeongguk could do was whisper sweet nothings back at Taehyung.

"Yes baby, he doesn't deserve it," Jeongguk kisses the corner of Taehyung's eyes and lightly pats his back," it's okay, baby. Breathe."

After Taehyung seems to calm down, Jeongguk switches his focus to Namjoon, "explain."

The latter sighs, "Don't look at me like you want to kill me," he raises his hands defensively, "Hoseok wanted this."

"What? To kill himself?"

"No, remember how we implanted a chip into his brain? Someone got access to the chip and overwrote everything. They also manage to implant their own little system in there."

"That doesn't explain why Hoseok had to die, we could've just removed the system."

"Jeongguk, do you really think I haven't thought of that before?" Namjoon mocks, of course, he has thought of that. With a brain such as his, he could've easily taken over Jeongguk's position as the most powerful mafia in Seoul if he wants to.

"Listen, whoever implanted that system is a fucking genius. They made it so they can control Hoseok in a way that Hoseok won't be able to remember what he did. They also made it so if anyone tries to remove the system, Hoseok's brain would pop open just like what you saw before."

Jeongguk cringes as he remembers the scene from before, the feeling of void fills his heart again.

"So we made a plan. I tried hacking into the system so Hoseok can have a few days without any disturbance and they won't be able to access his memory within those few days. But the system was so secured, I couldn't break into it to see who's behind everything. Hoseok wanted to tell you but it wasn't allowing him, he doesn't want to betray you so he decided to die while serving you," Namjoon smiles sadly at the memory when Hoseok came up to him and told him everything, "he wants you to have a happy ending."

At this, Jeongguk tears up again, but he wouldn't allow the tears to slip down from his eyes, "he's so stupid," he comments and hugs Taehyung even tighter, he could feel his baby trembling in sadness and despair.

"Joon, do you have any idea who it is?" Jeongguk's face returned back to being serious and he was already thinking of any possible rascals that might betray him. He grits his teeth just thinking about the shit head that betrayed him—even though he has no idea who it is, "just fucking watch, I'll fucking tear you apart and feed you to dogs."

Namjoon rubs his chin in concentration, he already has a few suspects from hearing the story from Hoseok but wasn't too sure about them, "There's a possibility that there's more than one rat, but I'm pretty sure it's one of the three branches..." he looks up at Jeongguk and he could already see hot air fuming out of Jeongguk's ears.

"...there's a reason why I made them into my main branches and for them to betray me when I'm already giving them this much power and trust?! Unacceptable!" Taehyung jumps in surprised upon hearing Jeongguk scream in his ears and whimpers even more. Jeongguk softens his gaze and softly kisses his head as a form of apology.

"Human nature is pretty disgusting if you ask me, Jeon. Look at you, so possessive over your little boyfriend and possessiveness is only one of the disgusting factor of humans. Greed, lust, jealous, envy also comes in the form of humans and who knows what they want from you."

"Shut up with your philosophic shit, I don't fucking care. All I want to do is crush the rascal and make him regret ever betraying me."

Namjoon shrugs and mumbled something along the lines of, "hey, you asked me,"—which was obviously ignored by Jeongguk.

"Hey, baby," Jeongguk whisper with the most delicate voice he used today and pushes Taehyung's bang behind his ears, "I need you to stay safe for me, okay?"

Taehyung stares into Jeongguk's dark orbs that held so little emotion but when it comes to him, he could see all the little small things that make Jeongguk, Jeongguk, "okay, Ggukkie," he whispers back, almost inaudible but Jeongguk heard it.

Namjoon stares at the scene in front of him, he wishes the two will forever be like this, just like him and Jin. He almost didn't want to interrupt the beautiful moment, but they don't have much time left before their enemies make the next move, "I'm sorry to interrupt but we have to get going."

"wait, I need to keep Taehyung in a safe place first and it's most definitely not my own mansion where it's accessible if the traitor is really from one of the branches."

"I think I know a place," Namjoon said.

Jeongguk raises his brows to signal him to elaborate.

"His childhood friend," he said as he points his finger to Taehyung.
