Lukes POV

I loved Cassie's reaction when she heard us sing. She was blown away. That's what I want to do to a lot of people. Not just her. She's still outside talking to whoever that Wayne guy is.

She sounded excited. The smile she had on her face when she realized it was him was a smile I haven't seen before. Maybe he's an old boyfriend. Maybe he's just a really close friend? She never talked about any old boyfriends. Why am I obsessing over this? Over her.

"Luke?" Ash waved his hands in front of my face.

"What?" I asked completely confused.

"You like zoned out or something. You alright?" He observed.

"Yeah just need some air." I said walking outside.

Why was I thinking about this. Was I jealous. Am I jealous. She won't talk to me maybe I'm just curious.

I walked further back and saw Cassie. She ran her fingers through her long brown hair. That's when I heard it. She covered her face with her hands trying to hide the sobs slipping out.

"Cass?" I called out cautiously. She jumped turning around. Whoa. Her eyes were puffy and red. She turned around fast, probably not wanting me to see her like this. I should just leave. But something's telling me to stay.

"What's wrong?" I asked walking closer to her.

"Nothing Luke. Just please go away." She said her voice raspy from crying.

I sat down next to her. She turned away from me.

"What do you want?" She asked quietly turning to finally look at me.

"It's finally getting to you huh." I said.

"What?" She asked completely confused furrowing her eyebrows.

"The fact that you're here." I said looking straight ahead.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"You're from America. Your family's there. Your friends are there. You moved here and left all that behind. I'm surprised actually.. that it took this long for you to feel."

I paused thinking of the right thing to say

"Home sick." I finished looking at her.

She looked at her hands.

"Yeah." She whispered twisting her fingers in her hands.

"Guessing that boyfriend of yours misses you huh?" I said without thinking.

"Boyfriend? Wayne's not my boyfriend. He's my cousin." She laughed.

Cassie's POV

"Guessing that boyfriend of yours misses you huh?" Luke questioned.

"Boyfriend? Wayne's not my boyfriend. He's my cousin." I laughed. I watched as all the blood drained from his face.

"No he's just= He's going through a hard time right now. He comes to me usually." I said.

"Now that I'm here he can't. I can't be here for him." I lowered my voice.

"It's not your fault you know." Luke said looking at me with those irresistible blue eyes.

"And you can still be there for him. Even if it's just a phone call. At least he'll know he still has you." He said. I smiled. Who knew he was so smart.

"Thanks." I said. He smiled back at me showing his dimples.

"So what did you really think of me? Playing I mean?" He questioned changing the subject. I laughed.

"You were surprisingly amazing."

"Surprisingly?" He put his hand on his heart pretending to be hurt. I rolled my eyes laughing.

"Come on let's get inside so I can hear more!" I said standing up offering my hand out which he accepted and got up with me.

"Wait" I stopped. He looked at me confused.

"How bad does my face look? Is my make-up running? Am I to red and blotchy?" I said putting my hand on my face. I really don't want everyone knowing I was crying.

"No, no" He laughed.

"Your eyes aren't puffy or red anymore but you still have a little= Here I got it" He wiped his thumb underneath my eyes. Staring straight into them. God his eyes are so blue!

"Thanks" I said he looked at me with such intensity I had to look away.

I cleared my throat and walked inside.

Cassie's POV

The boys played Ski and I a few more songs before we left. They were so good. Their definitely going somewhere with this band.

I haven't seen Luke since Friday when he caught me crying and made me feel better.

Now it's Monday and my first class is about too start. I sat down in my seat putting my bag down.

Luke walked in and sat down next to me. He was wearing a black Nirvana shirt and black jeans. He looks good in neutral colors.

"Hey" I said looking at him. He grabbed his things and ignored me.

OK?

"Look I justI don't care. Just because you were crying and I was being nice doesn't mean we're friends." He snapped at me.

"Wow back to being a dick I see." I rolled my eyes pretending what he said didn't effect me. Eventhough it did.

He sighed. "Cass="

"Mr. teacher person I have to pee." I rose my hand interrupting Luke with whatever rude comment he was about to say next.

"Mr. Reed. And you may go." He told me politely.

I got up and left. I felt bad for not remembering his name but I was to pissed at Luke to think about that.

Who does he think he is? I was going to thank him! What a rude dick! I'm never going to talk to him again. He doesn't deserve it. It's not like he'd want to talk to me anyway. He is the one who said we aren't friends.
