I tapped my fingers against the stainless wood of my post. The only sound in the room being my nails attacking the wood in a rhythmic way, and my steady breathing.

I honestly couldn't care less about costumers right now, all I wanted to do was sleep. I looked up at the playlist and saw the song was about to end, meaning I had to speak. I sighed and jogged over to the booth, I stuck my curls under the headphones and waiting until the song ended.

With no emotion in my face whatsoever, I spoke along to the script I front of me.

"Okay, so that was 'Girls' by the 1975. This next tune is 'In Bloom' by the one and only Nirvana." I tried to sound as cheerful as possible, but that was a bit difficult at eleven at night.

I usually wouldn't be working so late, but Michael was put of town visiting family. Meaning I had to take his place. Me of all people. Me of all our workers. We had plenty of other people who could take this position, but no, James just had to pick me.

I rolled my eyes and quickly made my way back to the front of our music store, which was also the local radio station. It made sense, a music store playing their music, promoting themselves once and a while.

But honestly, the only people who really listened were the 'hipsters'. Or whatever the fuck they were.

After repeating my usual routine about three times, the bell to the door went off. I perked up and saw a hooded figure waltz on in. The boy had really long legs, broad shoulders, and huge feet. I could feel an unfamiliar vibe radiate off of him, which made me slightly uncomfortable.

I watched the man walk along the CD racks, picking some discs up now and then. He walked throughout the entire shop, finally settling in front of me. I swallowed thickly and watched intently as he removed his hood. I saw his blonde hair peek out and his pale skin become brighter.

He looked up and met my eyes. I blushed under his intense gaze. His eyes were a steely blue. They showed so many hidden emotions, they swirled around making a contrast of blue, green, and grey. The were undeniably beautiful.

He smirked and placed three CDs on the counter. All Time Low, The Strokes, and Nirvana. I looked from the CDs and back to him, the smirk hadn't faltered one bit, which made my stomach twist shyly.

His tongue swiped across his bottom lip and I had noticed a piercing.

"This all?" I asked, desperately trying not to stutter. I mentally cheered when I had succeeded. He nodded, the smirk weighing me down. I nodded and took them.

I went over to the laptop, typed a few things here and there, the I checked them out.

I walked back over to the blonde and his eyes flicked down my body. I shivered under his gaze, which he didn't fail to notice. He winked and pulled out his wallet.

"How much, cutie?" He winked again. I smiled shyly and looked back over to the computer.

"$10.53" he smiled and handed me a twenty. I blushed and went to go gather his change. But he grabbed my hand and halted my footsteps. He leaned across the plank of wood separating us and his lips brushed my ear.

"Keep the change, cutie." I blushed and looked up to him reluctantly. He smiled and released my, making me breathe in a sharp intake of breath. I settled the twenty in the register. I turned around, expecting him to be gone, but he wasn't.

"What time do you get off?" I raised a brow. My gaze swiftly went to the clock hanging above the door, 12:45. Braden was coming at twelve fifty.

"In about five, why?" I questioned. I heard him mumble a small 'fuck yes'. But he played it off, his bad boy composure reappearing.

"What? Is it so wrong to want to get to know someone?" He licked his lips."Especially someone as attractive as yourself." He winked.

"You don't even know my name." I pointed out.

"Ashton! I'm here! You are free to go!" Braden walked through the doors. I nodded and checked the time limit on the song.

"Mate, you have seven seconds until you have to change songs." I giggled. Braden's eyes widened and he raced to the music booth. He stuck on the headphones, and soon enough his voice rang throughout the shop.

"That was 'Where Did The Party Go' by the extravagant Fall Out Boy. This next lick is 'Viva La Gloria' by Green Day." I smiled and gave Braden a thumbs up. He waved me off and I rolled my hazel eyes. I turned to see the blonde looking quite smug. I shoved his shoulder and walked past him.

"Wipe that smile off your face and buy me a muffin." I mumbled. He laughed and jogged up to my side.

"Well, Ashton, don't you want to know my name?" He asked, holding the door open for me. I giggled and looked at him expectantly. He smiled and joined my side again.

"Well, it's Luke. Luke Hemmings." He stuck his hand out for me to shake, I gripped it and smiled at him.

Luke Hemmings.
