Mother's Love

Maggy knocked on Gen's door.

"Come in." Gen said

Maggy walked in. Gen was at his desk, he smiled and turned to her.

"What's up Mom?"

"I just got off the phone. And I need to know why you lied to me "

Gen froze

"What do you mean?"

"That boy who was taken to the hospital was physically beaten by Toxsa. And you watched."

"I'm sorry Mom."

Gen looked down ashamed. Maggy hugged him

"It's okay I'll keep the secret. But you're grounded for 3 days."

"Deal!"

Gen hugged Maggy back. Maggy let go and walked out. Gen video called Ceylan, who answered almost immediately.

"Hey." Ceylan greeted

"Hey..."

Ceylan tilted his head. He noticed Gen had a guilty look on his face

"What happened, you look like you just punched someone on accident."

"My mom knows about what really happened with the incident at school."

"HOW!!"

Gen flinched at the suddenly change in his tone.

"I don't know. It is what it is. Besides she was cool about it."

Ceylan sighed

"So are you punished?"

"Yeah, grounded 3 days."

"My parents would not be that chill."

Gen chuckled.

"Anyway I'll talk to you later. I'm gonna hang with Mom."

"Alright later."

With that they hung up. Gen went downstairs. Liela ran up to Gen happily. He smiled at the 1 year old puppy and picked her up.
Maggy was working on the computer. She was extremely pissed because her boss ketp asking about Gen and his power.
She finished the email and sent it. She sat back and signed in complete annoyance. Gen enter the room with Liela in his arms. They both noticed Maggy's aggravated expression. Liela whined. Maggy looked at them.

"Oh crap. Did I forget something." Maggy asked a little panicked

"No you didn't forget anything. But you seem annoyed." Gen replyed

Maggy chuckled

"Yeah. I just quite my job." She said

Gen held Leila tighter.

"But what happens to us." Gen asked fearfully

He was shaking rather hard.

"Don't worry. Nothing's gonna happen I got another job. One that's enjoyable. And it's right across from your school so you can visit me when you want." Maggy reassured

Gen sighed in relief

"What made you quite, you really seemed invested in being a journalist." Gen questioned

"True but after meeting you and the others, there was no way I could keep that up." Maggy reply

Gen thought back to a few weeks ago when the horror finally stopped. He was excited to have a mother who cares, but he was nervous as well. Maggy had a dangerous job and he was afraid she would be killed. But now that horrific job was no more. Gen smiled.

"Hey can we go for a walk?"  Gen asked

"Sure. I could use one." Maggy answered.

They got Liela and Idida and went out. Not long after leaving Gen felt as if he was being watched. He kept continuously looking over his shoulder to see nothing. Until he did once more and saw Slyger.
Gen panicked. He levitated a car people ran away as they saw it. Then with hatred burning in his body, he through the car. It nailed Slyger. Knocking him down for long enough to get away.

"Let's go!" Maggy said in a panicked tone

Gen nodded they ran off leaving Slyger to get out himself. They hid in an old abandoned store.

"Gen, I know you have a secret and it as some to do with some kind of other world. You have to tell me what the actual fuck was that thing and what does it want?" Maggy whispered not wanting to draw any attention

Gen sighed.

"Slyger when you show up again I swear."  He thought

"That was Slyger. He worked for the warlord we fought, as a Commander for the corrupted army. He was an enemy the others and I faced for a long time.... But there was a time when I......" He looked down in shame

"Gen?"

"When I was no different. The corrupted want to take over earth and Quarton and completely wipe out humaity as we know it. I had assisted them in their selfish plans. I deserve the suffering I went through. I'm awful."

Gen cried softly. Memories of the time he served in the corrupted army came flooding back. He cried harder.
Maggy pulled him into a hug. She rubbed his back gently.

"You did not deserve the suffering, and you are not awful. So what if you helped them. When it mattered most you turned around to help. And if the others were here I know they would agree."

Gen looked up at Maggy. She gave him a loving smile, witch caused him to smile back.

"How sweet. It makes me sick." The voice Gen knew belonged to Slyger commented

Gen and Maggy turned and faced him.

"I expected you to be dead Dromas. You're lot stronger than I previously thought."

Gen teared up at the mention of the other name he went by. Maggy didn't know what he was going on about but she knew it was bothering Gen.

"You stay away from my son or you'll be the one in a grave!" Maggy stood in front of Gen defensively

Slyger smirked
"Is that so well then I guess I'll have to destroy you first." He laughed villainously

"Hold it right there, Slyger!"
