Later in the night Mr. and Mrs. Jones showed up to pick Ceylan up. They didn't get mad as they knew they didn't want to hurt Ceylan plus he wasn't very damaged. At least not by then. On the way home Guren kept silent, the right portion of his stitched up face still bleeding a bit. Mr. Nash already being worried for Guren's well being didn't take this very lightly. He pulled over feeling his heart rate pick up.
"Why'd we stop?" Guren asked
"Guren, I don't think I can handle another scare like that." Mr. Nash replied
"But I'm fine."
"But what happens if something greater happens? What if things go to far and I actually lose you, Guren. You're the only family I have left. I wouldn't be able to handle it."
Mr. Nash didn't even try to hide his tears. The mere thought of losing his son was ripping him apart inside. Guren didn't really know how to react to this. There was always some sort of possitivity even when his father would cry. But this time there was absolutely nothing even remotely possitive about his attitude. It was dark and fearful.
"Dad, please don't..." Guren said also beginning to cry
"If you're going to keep doing this promise me you'll be more careful. I don't know what I'll do if you.."
Mr. Nash trailed off. Guren unbuckled himself from his seat so he could hug his crying father. Mr. Nash returned the hug shakily. For the longest time he was away only to come back to his mentally and physically broken son. Once his mental state evened out and he got used to the brutal features of his son, Mr. Nash thought that would be the end of it. He didn't know that Guren would have to fight. At least not like this.
"You won't lose me I promise." Guren said his voice slightly wavering
Mr. Nash only nodded. There wasn't much more to say. Guren sat down and buckled up as Mr. Nash began driving again. Once they got home Guren laid on the couch his mind going back to the circle of truth.
"Is there a leader or alpha within your group?"
"It's a part of your instincts and who you are! You! Are! A! LEADER!!"
Guren growled at the memory. He hated it that he was considered the leader. In all honesty it was more than likely his own doing. Always think quickly and jumping head first into action. Guren was soon broken from his thoughts his phone rang. He answered without checking.
"Hello?" Guren asked obviously annoyed
"Did warm up enough?" Chooki's voice asked in a threatening tone
"What?"
"Did you warm up enough?"
"Chooki, stop being so cryptic and tell me what-"
The call ended. Guren blinked a few times before a picture was sent of.... Maggy's house. Guren quickly called Gen.
"What is it Guren?" Gen answered sounding tired
"You and Maggy need to hide! Chooki decided he wants to play!" Guren shouted in urgency
Gen was about ask how he knew but the sound of a lighting crack and the power going out stopped him. Gen dropped his phone and ran to Maggy's room. He barged in slamming the door shut behind him.
"Gen!?" Maggy shouted surprised
"Quiet. we need to hide." Gen said
Downstairs the front door was blasted off it's hinges. The beast was there and he was hunting for a blood filled prize.
