He was my friend first, Gen!

The next day Mr and Mrs Jones reported that Ceylan had disappeared without a trace. Mr and Mrs Dolton said Toxsa was acting very odd, going from lifeless and limb to active and violent. And there no word from Beni's father or Chooki's family.

Maggy figured this meant they all took that final dive. Witch meant her butt was on the line again. But more importantly Gen and Guren were in the crosshairs. So it was protect and defend rather than survive.

Witch Maggy was more than okay with. She walked with Gen on his way to school. She kept an eye on everything and everyone, and even gave some people death stares.

"Mom, why are you so on edge?" Gen asked

"You know exactly why." Maggy said looking at him seriously

Maggy wasn't on the average the below average side of the height spectrum. She's 6'7" and not afraid to assert herself using her height to downsize anyone who stands up to her. So it was pretty intimating when she gave a serious look. Gen nodded as a sigh of understanding.

It was true he knew why she was so anxious. Gen couldn't doubt he was feeling the same. It was horrifing to think four of his friends have all lost it in unison. What was worse was that the psycos still had the powers from their time as knights.

As Maggy and Gen reached the school they could see Guren and Mr Nash standing out front. Guren was no more than a few millimeters away from his dad, and refused to move. Despite getting gentle encouragement. Mr Nash wore a worried expression as he tried to get Guren to move toward the school.

"Come on Guren, we have to go." Gen said as him and Maggy finally got close

"I don't want to. I've a bad feeling about all this." Guren said

"Relax. I doubt we have anything to worry about." Gen said hoping his words were true

Mr Nash lightly pushed Guren forward. Guren looked up at his dad who smiled reassuringly. Guren hesitantly walked to the entrance of the school with Gen by his side.

"Guren's speculations aren't usually wrong. This is an occasion I hope it is tho." Maggy said

"You and me both. But with what's happening I highly doubt it's wrong." Mr Nash added

Maggy looked at Mr Nash who only watched as the boys disappeared through the entrance of the school.

Guren and Gen felt a great unease as they walked down the hall. Gen simply thought it was just his nerves. But that was soon prooved not to be the case. Once in class the looked to the back and suddenly both boys regretted their decisions to get out of their beds.

In the back where he usually sits, was Ceylan. His eyes were glued on Guren, as he gave a small smiled and didn't break away at all. Not wanting to start a scene or delay class, Guren walked to his seat trembling as he did. The closer Guren got the more Ceylan's smile grew, while his pupils shunk.

Guren sat down and immediately looked out the window, to avoid eye contact. And even when class started Ceylan kept his eyes on Guren, smiling widely, his pupils barely visible.

Finally the bell rang. Gen got up calmly while Guren jolted up. He tried running off but Ceylan grabbed his  arm. That same look on his face.

"Where ya goin friend?" Ceylan asked in a tone that sounded sweet but borderlined on psychotic

"To my next class. Please let go." Guren responded

"You mean our next class." Ceylan chirped

"Yeah whatever. Let me go." Guren said beginning to feel threatened

"Come on Ceylan you're being stubborn." Gen cut in

The bluenette just stared at Gen with the same expression but with a darker look in his eyes.

"When the hell did he get creepy." Gen thought

Guren yanked his arm away, and ran off. Not looking back.

"And I guess he had enough." Gen thought again

"You must be real happy. With my best friend." Ceylan broke Gen from his thoughts

"What are you talking about?" Gen asked

"YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!"

Gen jumped at the sudden change in his tone.

"And unlike other people I don't need a weapon to get rid of pests like you. And I get the pleasure of knowing you helped me train at one point. Making it much easier to straggle you." Ceylan said his smile never fading

"Think about what you're doing. I could take you down in seconds." Gen said backing away

The temperature in the room began to drop rapidly, as an icey fog appeared at Ceylan's feet.

"I wonder how long it would for you to freeze solid." Ceylan giggled ignoring Gen's statement

The floor was now covered in ice, witch would soon be on Gen's feet and would progressively incase him. He mumbled something incoherently witch peaked Ceylan's curiosity.

"What?" He asked moving closer

Gen mumbled again, but this time Ceylan could make out the words trouble and kill. He moved closer completely forgetting about his primary reason for being there, witch caused the temperature to go up a bit, and the ice to stop it's progress.

"You would only cause him trouble or kill him now."

Ceylan's smile finally faded. However before he could make move Gen punched him in the chest. His ribcage pushed agaist his heart harshly, witch resulted in blood pouring from the hole in stomach and mouth. The crimson tears everyone was now very familiar with gently rolled down Ceylan's cheeks as he held his chest in pain.

"Keep in mind, Ceylan, it didn't have to be that way." Gen said as ice thinned out enough so he wouldn't slip

He ran out leaving Ceylan to recover. He got outside as quickly as possible, and went straight to the basketball court. Where he saw Guren rubbing his temples as the gym teacher aka coach rambled to him. Gen pushed coach to the ground catching Guren attention.

"Not the first time a friend saved from that crap." Guren said

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever! We have gotta go!" Gen shouted

"What why?" Guren asked

As soon as the question was asked it was answered. Other students ran away screaming as a wall of icey fog rose. From it Ceylan emurged, his head down and his body partly frosted. As he moved anything within a few feet from him froze solid. He raised head the damage Gen had done was still in affect as blood dripped from the bluenette's mouth and eyes.

"He..... Was my..... Friend... First." Ceylan said slowly as to not choke on his own blood

"Gen, what the f is going on?" Guren asked

Ceylan, now hurt and angery, stomped his foot to the ground, causing large ice cyrstals to shoot up separating the two and destroying part of the school. Alarms went off as students and teachers ran for saftey. Not long after sirens whaled as emergency specialists arrived.

From the 3rd floor of the building across the street Maggy could see the unfolding havoc from the window she sat next to. She jolted up only grabbing her phone and ran to and down the stairs while contacting Mr Nash.

Because one thing was for sure. The new fight had just begon.
