Guren opened the door. He eyes scanned Maggy carefully. He seemed agitated, but nonetheless he stepped aside for her. She took a seat in the kitchen just like the last time. But this time there were two more chairs, one on each side of the table, instead of just 10 candles there dozens of unlit ones on the table, and an orb sat in middle of it all.
Maggy had quiet a few questions, but she stayed silent not wanting to make Guren's already bad mood worse. After a moment Guren stabbed a knife into a wall violently.
Maggy looked at him in shock, as he glared at her. Suddenly she felt completely unsafe. Guren kept eye contact as he sat down.
"So, you did it. You got the happy ending you were looking for. Good. For. You." Guren said his voice carrying sarcasm
"You sound mad, what's wrong?" Maggy asked with worry and fear in her voice
"Spare me your pitty." Guren growled
Max jumped on Guren's shoulders and looked at Maggy. As if she wasn't scared enough.
"I still have things inside my head that influence my behavior in a negative way. And it doesn't help that some people can't spare someone's father from work, despite EVERYTHING THEY'VE BEEN THROUGH!!" Guren yelled causing an energy surge
The power of the surge knocked Maggy backwards, chair and all. She hit the ground with a loud thud. She groaned lightly, holding her shoulder. Guren realised what he did and got up. He went over to Maggy and held out his hand. She gently took it and Guren pulled her to her feet.
"So your father's boss is kind of a dick, correct?" Maggy asked
Guren laughed a little and nodded, Maggy's comment putting him in a better mood. Then the frount door opened and voices followed.
"Really Toxsa?"
"What part of 'just come in' did you not get?"
Maggy gave Guren a confused look, as Chooki and Toxsa enter the kitchen.
"I invited some other players. The rules are different this time round." Guren explained
Maggy felt her heart skip a beat. Whatever these new rules were, there was no way it didn't involve inflicting injury of some sort. She set the chair back up, and sat down, then got a friendly yet forceful slap on the back.
"Good to see you again, Maggy!" Chooki said cheerfully as he sat down
"Good to see you too. And for future reference please keep your slaps on the back a little lighter." Maggy replied with a smile
"That wasn't me." Chooki said seriously
"Huh?" Maggy asked confused
Chooki looked at Toxsa with an expression she couldn't quiet figure out. But whatever it was it made Toxsa sigh in annoyance.
"It's not important." Toxsa said
"Yes it is." Chooki snapped at the shorter male
"It has nothing to do with what's going on right now." Toxsa said back calmly
"Doesn't mean it's not important."
The argument continued and Maggy only felt more awkward, but Guren on the other hand was getting progressively more annoyed with the two.
"Enough out of both of you!" Guren demanded sternly
Chooki and Toxsa stopped and nodded. And at that moment Maggy saw these boys had some kind of hierarchy between each other. She could almost see their roles in power and authority.
All she needed for this to be confirmed was vocal proof."Alright with that out of the way, welcome back to the circle of truth. Chooki and Toxsa already know these rules but, Maggy I should explain. This is still the circle of truth but this time questions will be asked. We'll continue until the orb in the middle admits no light. Has for the candles."
Guren snapped his fingers the lights in the house went off and the candle on the illuminated with while flames.
"The flames will change color when someone gives the 100% truth. The color is dependent on the person. And whoever's color takes up the most of the candles wins." Guren explained
"That's it, sounds simple enough." Maggy said
"Well that's just the game section." Chooki said
"Yeah the winner gets to watch what happens to everyone else." Toxsa said
Maggy shivered. She was not looking forward to what was going to happen.
