After finding Beni, Mrs. And Mr. Jones, and Ceylan, Maggy and Gen began walking home. Idida and Liela close behind.
"You mind if join you for tonight?"
Maggy and Gen stopped then turned around to Guren with innocent eyes. Gen looked up at Maggy, who nodded with a smile.
"Yeah, we'd happy to have you join." Gen said giving Guren a smile
Guren's eyes lit up a little more. He walked along side Gen, who wasn't as trusting of his friend as he looked. He had reasons to be suspicious of him, and his intent.
Once back at the house, Maggy immediately went to o bed. Leaving Gen and Guren to conversate. At least that's she hoped they'd do.
However once Gen was sure she in her room, he turned to Guren with a venomous look.
"What?" Guren asked
"I don't trust you, that's what." Gen responded
"If I wanted to hurt either of you I would have done it already." Guren said, annoyance lacing his voice
"What are you implying?" Gen asked also annoyed
"Alright, if you want me to leave then just say leave and I'll go, Gen! If I'm such an insignificant untrustworthy waste of your time, then just say it!"
Gen's expression went from venomous and paranoid to remorseful, as Guren looked him in the eye 100% serious. Gen lowered his head.
"I never said you were an insignificant waste of time."
"Well that's how you've been acting. I'm trying to recover, but I can only go so far on my own, and you haven't been helping. None of you have. I guess I shouldn't have expected different."
"I'm sorry. I just thought it was over, without even thinking of you guys."
Guren closed his eyes and ran a hand through hair.
"I wanted to talk to you about all this but, it always seemed like you were either too busy or uninterested. So I choked back the problems. Like you would have done."
Gen looked at Guren wide eyed. Yes it was common knowledge within the group that he kept his problems to himself. But he could handle it. But just as much as the others rely in him Guren replies them.
"You shouldn't do that." Gen said sternly
"Why not?"
"Because it's out of your element. I do that kind of stuff because it's I'm used to it."
"And that's a problem you had even in regular life. You didn't even tell your mother about your mental breakdown."
"I didn't want to say anything. Just in case she...."
Gen may have trailed off but Guren got the idea.
"She wouldn't abandon you. If her action say anything it's that she not like that."
Gen thought for a moment and nodded. Gen gestured toward the living room, and Guren nodded. They sat down on couch and the puppies hopped on beside them.
"Our work is never done is it. Between the appearance of Slyher and now the mental decay of our friends. Oh joy." Gen said being sarcastic with his last to words
"Yeah tell me about it. Two problems and one's gonna come sooner than the other." Guren agreed
"Hey at least this time we won't have to have a battle royal."
Guren laughed a bit. They finally got a moment to actually talk one on one. And they were beginning to enjoy it again.
It's a good thing too. Because their going to need to talk regularly if they want to stay in one piece.================================
Hey y'all.
So first off I apologise for the slow updates. I've been doing quiet a few different things so I've been very distracted. In addition my dog was put down about 3 weeks ago and I'm still recovering. I'll try to be a little more frequent with updates.
I also want to say thank you for being so patient and supporting this story. It feels great and it makes me want to continue doing this.
So once again thank you and have a good day/night
