"Hey Sadie, can you pull up directions to the hotel?" Ethan asked. Within five minutes we were on our way to the Eastwell Manor a Champneys Spa Hotel. It was $96 a night which wasn't bad for how luscious and large the rooms were. When we pulled into the driveway I couldn't contain my excitement. From first glance, the Eastwell Manor looked like a castle. It was stone with light green moss growing up the sides. There were huge square bushes in the front of the manor. The front yard was giant. The inside had a wooden vintage feel. The walls were wooden with a stone fireplace. There was a large dark wood bookcase in the corner. The couches were brown and plush. We checked into our room, 209. The elevator had mirrored walls and white tiled floor. Our room was bigger than both Ethan's and my rooms at home. It had a marble kitchen, two bedrooms with white plush queen beds, a living room with the same wooden vintage theme as downstairs, a bathroom with two sinks and a shower, and a dining room. I dropped off my bags in my room and as the paranoid person I am, checked for bed bugs. I found Ethan in his room unpacking.
"Ethan we have to go meet downstairs Blakley in 5 minutes." He tolled his eyes but within 2 minutes we were back in the elevator, and going down to the lobby. A girl about my age, 18, was sitting on one of the couches. She looked up, her blonde hair falling into her bright green eyes. She stood up.
"Told you she wasn't a dude." I nudged Ethan. The girl struck out her hand.
"Hi! I'm Blakley. You must be Sadie." She looked at Ethan, her eyes trailing up and down. "And you are?"
"Ethan, I'm Sadie's friend." He put his hands in his pockets, a red stain coloring his cheeks. I rolled my eyes, we were here to find my reaper, not love.
"So about that reaper." I drew the attention back to the problem at hand.
"Oh right! I'll take you to the spot that it has been marking the numbers...but you guys look a tad tired. You guys should go take a kip, sorry, nap. I'll take you there tomorrow." Tomorrow would be 4 days. I would have four days to get to the bottom of this. I wanted to go now but my feet were dragging and I kept going in and out between consciousness.
"Yeah, that'll be fine. Thank you so much for all your help." I nodded to Blakley, turned on my heel, and headed back to the elevator. I went to Ethan's room to wait while he finished unpacking. I lay on his bed. I put my head on my hands and was out.Hope you all enjoy this story!
