"Ethan." I shook him. "Ethan are you okay?" Tears again filled my eyes. I held Ethan's hand and squeezed it. A few minutes went past until I felt a squeeze back. I pulled Ethan towards me and hugged him. He sat up and moved out of the tub. He was slightly bruised but nothing compared to me. I had dark purple bruises up my arms and down my legs. I had dark, bloody scratches across my whole body. My face had marks and my sweater was ripped to shreds. My leggings were torn and exposed my legs. The guy sat beside me and Ethan.
"So, time to properly introduce myself. I'm Oryn." Oryn...why did that sound so familiar?
"I'm Sa-" I began to say but was cut off.
"Yeah, I know who you are." Oryn pointed at Ethan. "I know who you are too, pretty boy." Oryn laughed but Ethan looked stunned.
"How the heck do you know who we are?" I asked.
"A story for a different day." He shrugged. He stood up leaving Ethan and me on the bathroom floor.
"Sadie we need to take you somewhere to get your wounds healed but there are no good places in Pluckley to go, and we're not going out of town yet. Can we head back to your hotel room?" Oryn asked. How did he know so much about me? Ethan pulled out the car keys.
"Do we have to walk back to the graveyard for the car?" Ethan asked.
"No, the car is parked on this lot." He pointed to a window and started walking. He walked out of the bathroom and turned the corner. There it was, the small black car. I climbed into the back seat and Oryn sat beside me. Ethan shouldn't be driving in his condition but I was too exhausted to protest. I leaned my head against Oryn. Even though I didn't exactly trust him he made a pretty good pillow. I didn't want to fall asleep so I just closed my eyes. Oryn grabbed my hand and held it. Oryn's red hair suited his gold eyes. He had little flakes of brown in them too. He was a perfect blend of tan and pale and he straight up looked like something out of a movie. Soon enough the little black car pulled into the Eastwell Manor. I didn't want to walk so Ethan gave me a piggy back ride up to our room. I wonder what the people at the front desk must be thinking about us three. When we got to the room, Ethan set me down and Oryn took me into the living room and got out a first aid kit from the hall closet. Ethan went into the bathroom to take a shower.
"Is this going to hurt?" I asked Oryn.
"It shouldn't hurt that bad." He put some hydrogen peroxide on a towel. He got out a pair of scissors from the kit and cut off the bottom of my leggings. He cut off the bloody sweater just to reveal a bra underneath. Heat creeped up my face. I felt totally exposed in-front of him. The only person to ever seen me undressed like this besides Oryn was Ethan because he walked in accidentally once when I was changing, it taught him how to knock though. Oryn grabbed my leg and pulled it against him. He had me sit up against the back of the couch. He rubbed the towel against my scabs and cuts. I grabbed the nearest pillow and clenched onto it, slamming my head into the back of the couch.
"I know, I'm sorry." He held my left hand when he moved to my face. He applied a little pressure to the slice. I screamed. Ethan came running out of the bedroom.
"SADIE! Are you okay?" He ran over to me.
"It's okay E, I'm fine. Go back to cleaning yourself up." I nudged him away. His look made me melt a little, I could tell he was worried. Oryn looked at E as he walked away. He turned back to me and started to put bandages and gauzes on the wounds.
"I wish I had a relationship like you and Ethan have." He didn't look up from what he was doing.
"Oh, we're not dating. We're just really good friends." I was on my stomach while Oryn was putting rap and gauze on my back.
"Yeah, but I see the way he looks at you. You know he loves you right?" Oryn asked.
"No, but I don't think that I can think of him any other way than a brother." I frowned. Ethan had always been my best friend, but nothing more. We could be more. I would love to be more, but I'm not sure how Ethan feels.
"Well, I guess that leaves an open shot for me." Oryn had me sit up and he moved back to my arms.
"You're kidding right?" I laughed. I had just met Oryn and he was already throwing himself out there.
"If I was I would tell you." He smiled.
"I just met you." But the thing was that Oryn was cute, he saved my life, and he knows me somehow. That's gotta count for something.
"So, I'm cute, I saved your life, and I know you. That's gotta count for something." He smiled
"How..." I smirked.
"Magic." Oryn wiggled his fingers. I laughed. Within 15 minutes I was disinfected and wrapped up.
"Thanks Oryn." I stood up and hugged him. I went to walk out to the kitchen and fell to my knees.
