"I see you've come to play, Love?" Ash asked, giving her a lopsided grin as he tilted his head to the side.
"I've come to stop you." She growled, her lips turning up into a scowl as a spear formed in his hands.
"I can't be stopped, love, you should know this." He told her in a sing-song voice, beginning to walk towards her with a spring in his step.
"Then I've come to slow you down." And with that, she rushed forwards.
At first, the only thing going through her mind was the simple word 'Kill' over and over, repeating itself as though her subconscious was attempting to take over her body to perform the action. When she locked eyes with him, her only thought was to kill him. After all, he had enslaved an entire race just to try and kill her, and most likely killed a lot of humans on Earth while trying to get to her. And at first, that was what she tried to do.
As soon as she got within a foot of Ash, she ducked his swinging spear and uppercut him, making him stagger back before she extended her hand, at least thirty cards flying past her arm and attempt to stab the man. She furrowed her brow as they practically disintegrated once they hit some sort of invisible force field around his body. He merely chuckled, twirling the spear around in his hands before lunging at her once more with the spearhead heading for her chest. She quickly directed a group of cards to wrap around the spear and knock it away, spinning around before delivering a kick to his chest. He nearly fell to the ground, but caught himself before he took a small step back. Jay threw her arm to the side and red wisps wrapped around her fingers, making the large silver battle ax seemingly slide out of her hand.
Her knuckles turned white as she tightened her fist around the handle of the weapon, her eyes analyzing every motion that Ash made in hopes that it would somehow reveal to her what he was about to do.
"You won't beat me," he laughed, giving her a crazed smile as he swung at her again. She blocked the hit with the handle of her ax, staring him directly in his eyes with a scowl on her lips. "You can't beat me."
"Watch me, bitch." Her eyes blazed red before an onslaught of glowing red rectangles flew around her. Though they disintegrated, the cloud of smoke they created gave her cover as she swung the battle ax. It made contact with his golden chest plate, causing an extremely loud clanging sound to fill her ears. She winced as a large crack formed in his armor, cutting straight through the ruby emblem and shattering the beautiful stone. He flew back, skidding to a halt before wrenching the ax out of his chest plate and flinging it off of the mountain.
"Ow. You hurt my feelings." He said with a pout, his expression soon hardening into one of anger.
"I can hurt a lot more than that, mate." Jay growled, flexing her fingers as red wisps wrapped around her body. She could feel heat coursing through her veins, her iris' pulsing with red light as she glared at him with cold and calculating eyes. Ash seemed to look her up and down before he suddenly disappeared in a cloud of red mist. Her eyes widened as she frantically looked around, fear finally settling in her chest as she realized just how perilous this battle could be for her.
Jay whipped around suddenly when she heard the sound of snow crunching beneath boots, and ducked to avoid Ash's spear. He swung it over his head, about to bring it down on her when the wisps swirling around her body quickly converged on her back as she spun around. The spearhead bounced off of the makeshift shield she created, the wisps forming themselves into two huge, transparent, blue feathered wings. As they aligned with the stars in the sky, the flickering lights of the wings could be compared to constellations, but this was no time for an astronomy lesson.
She beat both wings as hard as she could, launching herself a hundred feet into the sky as her fingers glowed red, several daggers floating up in front of her to form a crescent moon. With a swipe of her hand, Jay sent the daggers streaking to the ground in a tight line formation, but Ash was quick to kick off of the ground as well. Instead of wings like hers, circular platforms formed underneath his feet as he seemed to run up towards her, throwing his spear at her like a javelin stick. She spiraled out of the way, raising her hand to dislodge the daggers from the mountaintop before shooting them at Ash once more.
His spear flew back to him just in time, however, letting him easily swat the daggers to the ground. "Face it!" Ash shouted, a sickening grin on his face. "You can't beat me, so just give up! Give up and let me kill you!"
She didn't answer, however, instead rocketing towards him. She punched his face, feeling the crack of his nose breaking under her knuckles before she kicked him in the gut, sending him spiraling back and towards the ground. He caught himself, however, leaping up and delivering a blow right to her chin, before swinging his spear to her. He hit her with the flat side, practically swatting her to the ground as a crater formed around her in the snow. Ash held the spear above him, rapidly plummeting to the ground with the intention of driving the spear through her heart.
Jay quickly rolled out of the way, grabbing the two last daggers from her hip holsters and lunging towards him as he was recollecting himself from smashing into the ground. With murder in her blazing red eyes, she plunged the two small blades through the vertical crack in his chest plate, his eyes widening before he looked down at her hands. She froze instantly as he grinned, before she herself looked down at her chest.
There, right through her heart, was the spear.
