Emily
----------"Em, you want me to take you home?" Malia asked as her, Grayson, Gavin and I all sat in Grayson's living room. Ashley and Courtney just left.
"No, go ahead. Grayson said he'd take me home." I watched Malia and Gavin stand up, and head towards the front door.
"Alright by guys. See you at school tomorrow." Gavin said and then we all said our goodbyes before they left, making the room go quiet.
"Okay, come with me. I want to show you something." Grayson stood up and walked over to me, holding his hand out for me to grab.
"You're not gonna try to seduce me are you?" I asked, grabbing his large callused hand and following him through his house.
"No, I finished another painting I want you to see." He grabbed a key from on top of the doorframe, then unlocked the door, and pulling me inside.
I remembered the paintings that were covered up in the corner of his room and looked over at them, still there. "There was a really cool sunset about a week ago so I painted it. It's not that interesting though." He walked me over to the easel and handed me the small 12x12 canvas covered it orange and pink shades, along with scattered clouds and a lake beneath it, the sky reflecting off the flowing water.
"This is amazing Grayson. You are so talented." I grasped onto the canvas, running my index finger over the paint, I've always loved the feeling of it under my fingertips.
"These nature ones are more side projects, I like the ones I have covered more." I glanced over at my shoulder feeling taunted by the paint covered sheet.
"Can I look at those ones?" I walked to the paintings, running my hand over the sheet with paint all over it.
"Uh... I don't know. They're really personal, more than the other ones." He walked over to me, bringing his hand to the sheet and grazing over the dried paint with his fingertips.
"It's okay if not." I walked away from them, trying to drop the subject, but he grabbed my wrist, making me turn and face him as he looked at me, nervousness written on his face.
"Just, don't think it's weird." His eyebrows scrunched together as I saw anxiety run through his body, causing me to feel empathy.
"You don't have to, really. Only if you want to." He licked his lips, then pulled the sheet off, showing random colors spread on the canvas, making a woman's naked body.
I bent down, so I could see them closer, running my hand over the textured paint, almost able to feel the exact way he was when he painted them.
"These are incredible, Grayson." I looked up at him and saw him slowly close his eyes and let out a big breath of air.
"I thought you'd think they were weird, or pervy." He kneeled down next to me, sliding that canvas over and showing me one of a man's lips attached to a girl's neck. The vibrant colors perfectly fit together to make a beautiful abstract painting.
"They're amazing. How did you think of this?" I looked over at him slightly smiling and a small blush on his cheeks.
"A part of me thinks sex should be more intimate, I want to find someone I can experience that with. It's what I crave most." I looked at him admiring the art as if it wasn't his. He must truly be proud of it. "Nobody knows about these, Emily. Please don't tell anyone." He looked at me with pleading eyes and I nodded slowly.
