Ingrid's POV
Today is the day. The day of my date with Oliver. I can't wait and I had help from Penelope with my outfit (a beautiful summer dress adorned with butterflies). It was one of my favourite dresses and as it was summer, I wore some sandals. Oliver had told me throughout the week to wear something casual but also cute.
Things had been good since the kiss, almost like it wasn't real. He would talk to me and walk me to my lessons sometimes. However, I wouldn't say he was my boyfriend. I think today is the day I find out, so let's hope for the best. He's supposed to meet me now so I step outside if my common room and he stood there, as charming as always.
He smiled, "Hey Ingrid!"
"Hi," I said back shyly.
"Are you ready to go?" He asked I nodded. He puts his hand out and I take it before we walk down to stairs and out of the castle, towards to Hogsmeade. It wasn't as busy as I thought it would be but it was still busy."Where do you want to go?" He asked me. I pointed to Madam Puddifoot's tea shop and he nodded. We entered the overly frilly room and sat down at a table before Madam Puddifoot approached us.
"What would you like, dears?" She smiled in a sickly sweet manner.
"Uh, a hot chocolate please." I smiled awkwardly.
"I'll have the same thanks!" Oliver also replied.Madam Puddifoot nodded and bumbled off. We were one of two pairs in this room, the other pair was two seventh year Gryffindors that were heavily making out. I grunted, a little uncomfortable and Oliver let out a chuckle.
"Not a big fan huh?" He said still chuckling.
"I don't get how you can do that in front of so many people?" I whisper, not wanting them to hear us.
"Yeah, I get it." He smiled "But I guess you chose the right place to see it."Madam Puddifoot then came and placed a teapot full of Hot chocolate down, along with two teacups. We both thanked her before going back to our conversation.
"Hey, the only reason I chose this place was because I like Hot chocolate here!" I protested.
"Who do you usually come with?" He asked.
"Penelope," I say simply.
"That must have been awkward," Oliver laughed.
"Tell me about it, Madam Puddifoot thought we were together!" I exclaim.Oliver burst out laughing and in doing so knocked the boiling pot of hot chocolate over me, staining my dress. The hot chocolate hit my skin and burned me, I yelled out in pain. I could hear Oliver yelling many apologies and saw him cast a spell to clean me up.
We left Madam Puddifoot's in a hurry. I had no remaining stain as Oliver had cleared it up, but I did have a burn on my arm.
"I'm so sorry Ingrid!" Oliver said for the fiftieth time.
"Really, it's fine!" I say "I was looking for an excuse to get out of there anyway."
"I guess that you aren't going to want to be my girlfriend anymore!" He sighed.
"You're wrong!" I state. "I do!"He looked at me in a surprised manner before saying, "Well then, do you want to go to Honeydukes?" And that's what we did.
We spent nearly an hour in there, messing around and eyeing many sweets. I eventually chose a pack of chocolate frogs and Oliver bought a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans. We then ate them on a bench outside and laughed at jokes that we both made. Other than the disaster at the Tea Shop everything had been great.
It was the end of the date now and I didn't really know what was going to happen. We were still sat on that bench but Oliver had edged closer to me.
"I had fun today!" Oliver stated, smiling.
"Me too!" I replied.
"Can I-" Oliver asked, looking at my lips. I nod and he gently pressed his lips into mine. This kiss was much softer than our first one. I wrapped my arms around his neck and leant into the kiss. In my opinion, this kiss was much better. Oliver seemed to think it too because it appeared to take his breath away.We walked back to the Ravenclaw Common room hand in hand and he pecked my lips before I entered, waving goodbye. Sure, the date had a rocky start but the ending was more than great.
