Indie's pov
The week passed quickly, I spend most of my afternoons throughout all of it getting ahead of assignments that I'm hopefully not going to fail because of my unfocused attention in class, I've also been packing for this yacht trip slowly.
Harry and I didn't say anything to each other, I avoided him for the most part, he didn't waste any time parading around with girls though, not like it wasn't expected. Every time I saw him around the school, it started a fire in me, but as it started a fire in me, it also made me feel cold. It was an odd mixture that did its job to make me feel terrible.
He and Linsey didn't talk much either, that was a surprise too, they barley even went near each other, and when they weren't around each other, they both just talked crap about the other person.
I couldn't help but have this constant want to talk to him, I had to fight it off, it's been a stupid and pointless battle with myself all week.
It's Friday afternoon, I'm waiting for Harry to pick me up. I'm still unsure how this drive is going to go, knowing the week it's been.
Knowing his last words to me, will he even pick me up?
I can't change the plans for who I am getting to drive me there, I wanted to but we had organised it all and I didn't want to be a burden, I couldn't do that, it's supposed to be a good weekend away. Supposed to be.
I won't be able to say goodbye to mum or dad before I go, Friday's they work late, I have to start remembering that. I'm kind of glad though, knowing my mother she would have wanted to meet my driver, in this instance, Harry. I'm not sure she would even consider letting me go on this long trip with him and the others if she met him, I'm not sure what she would think of the eighteen year old covered with tattoos.
I quickly dial my mums phone as I zip my small bag up, I have only packed the things I'm sure I'll need, so there isn't much in it, I mean.. it's only technically a day that we're spending there, two nights one full day. The line buzzes and she doesn't pick up, she's probably really busy.
"Hey Mum, just giving you a voicemail to say have fun and I'll see you when I'm back on Sunday, love you." I say through the line, I quickly hang up and grab my small bag and hold it around my shoulder, shoving my phone into my pocket. I head down the stairs and walk to the front door, opening it up.
I find myself sitting on the front porch with my legs spread out and my hand resting in my hand, I smile when Fiona and Noel walk out of their house next door, Noel in all of his soccer gear.
They smile and wave at me quickly, I get up from the porch, leaving my bag there as I walk towards them.
"Hi Fiona," I smile, Noel jumps into the car, tugging at his top. "And Noel, off to a game I see?"
"Hey!" Fiona chirps. "Yes, it's his second game of the season."
"Well, good luck Noel." I smile, he nods his head quickly and clips his seatbelt in, he must be nervous for the game. Fiona closes the door and quickly stands next to me.
"You heading off somewhere this weekend?" Her eyes move to my bag on the porch, I look back at it and nod my head.
"Yeah, a yacht trip for the weekend with some friends." She raises her eyebrows quickly.
"Well, that just makes me miss high school a whole lot more," she bites her lip with a small smile. I watch her mouth open to say something else but the sound of a car engine moving onto my driveway makes my body swing into the direction of the sound. Harry sits there in his car and his eyes meet mine from Fiona's driveway, his hand rests on the wheel patiently.
