Indie's pov
"Mum, I have a question, it's big so keep an open mind." I say to my mum as soon as I walk down the stairs, I had been doing some homework but she arrived home about an hour ago, she's been cooking dinner and doing her work. I watch her as she sits on the seat besides the island and her head turns to me.
"Okay.." she shuts her laptop.
"My friends, they are hosting this party on a yacht, it's next weekend from Friday until Sunday." I start, I watch her eyes roll already. "I'm contributing fifty dollars to it but it's kind of a small holiday for the group, organised by Louis parents because they.. have the kind of money do do that."
I may have over exaggerated a little with my words and mixed and matched a couple things around, but they are all pretty much truthful statements.
"I'm already letting you go to this boys party tomorrow night, why are there so many parties to go to?" I watch her give me a concerned look, I inhale a breath preparing myself to explain everything I can to her in the slightest detail but at the same time the most detail she'll need to know to let me go.
"Well, it's my friends birthday one of them so of course I want to go, and the yacht is something the groups organised for weeks and they only just asked today, I can pay for everything myself and I don't need a ride, I'll get one with Zayn or one of the boys. I just really want to do this mum." I tell her with a heap of hopefulness in my voice.
It's odd saying that 'it's my friends' birthday, I wouldn't think Harry would consider me a friend. I don't know if I should consider him a friend either, I wish it were that easy.
"Next weekend it your dads weekend off.. we were going to do something as a family." I sigh at her statement and nod my head.
"I know, I just really want to get to know the group better and spend more time with them, the yacht is something different and something I haven't done before." I explain and pull my lips to a thin line.
"Indiana..." I hear the slight dissatisfaction in her voice. There it goes, that's all I need to hear to know it's probably going to be a no.
"Fine." I say quietly in defeat.
"Indie," She starts, my head perks up. "A yacht is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I wouldn't want you to miss out on that with your friends."
"Wait, really?" I ask with a smile.
"I'm not saying you can't go, I'm letting you decide this for yourself. You have my permission though, I just really don't want any trouble or any phone calls saying your in the hospital for some reason, I also want to meet Zayn like you said." I nod my head at her smiling cheekily with my teeth showing, clearly happy with myself. "Another thing, I want you to call me at least once every day while you're there, so I know you're okay, okay?"
"Yes, okay!" I tell excitedly as I go and hug her, we both smile as I wrap my hands around her neck excitedly. "I'll tell them tomorrow."
"How are you finding the bus? I know I drop you off to school in the morning but how's it when you're coming hone?" I let go of the hug and take a breath, she opens up her laptop again.
"Oh.. it's not the best but I'm sure I'll get used to it." I tell her with a small smile, I don't want her to stress about buying me a car or anything like that. I know she will, and I certainly don't want her working extra hard to try and afford one just for my comfort. "I'm going to go to my room, thank you again mumma."
